This is definitely an extremely complex book that really shows the challenges of a girl who is agoraphobic and has a lot of mental health issues. This really gets into the feelings and emotions that go with having to face these problems daily and I really thought that it did a great job of putting the reader in the character‘s shoes. Great writing and story.

At seventeen, Norah has accepted that the four walls of her house delineate her life. She knows that fearing everything from inland tsunamis to odd numbers is irrational, but her mind insists the world outside is too big, too dangerous. So she stays safe inside, watching others‘ lives through her windows and social media feed.
Summary continued in comments ⬇️

JoScho But when Luke arrives on her doorstep, he doesn‘t see a girl defined by medical terms and mental health. Instead, he sees a girl who is funny, smart, and brave. And Norah likes what he sees.
4y
JoScho Their friendship turns deeper, but Norah knows Luke deserves a normal girl. One who can walk beneath the open sky. One who is unafraid of kissing. One who isn‘t so screwed up. Can she let him go for his own good—or can Norah learn to see herself through Luke‘s eyes? 4y

honestly such a raw and accurate representation of agoraphobia it‘s scared
this book personifies the colour pink, it‘s like a sunset, it‘s warm and it‘s happy yet it‘s sad because something is leaving
i honestly love this book so much
10/10 - it‘s an aesthetic in a novel

Fantastic read. It really helps understand the issues people are trying to cope with, especially those “invisible” illnesses. Highly recommended.

So much nodding my head here. This book is tough to read, but that‘s because it has so much honesty and understanding in it. Love.

Mehso-so

2.5/5 🌟

An other contemporary I didn't like. 🙈
It wasn't the worst one I've read but I wouldn't recommend it.
This book is about a young girl dealing with a mental illness and her trying to overcome it. The begining wasn't too bad but the ending ruined the story, in my opinion. There was something unrealistic about the story.

This is between a so-so and a pick. It‘s a fast read, but I felt like it bit off more than it could chew, story wise. Agoraphobia and mental illness are real conditions that have been explored in somewhat similar novels- The Woman In the Window, Close Enough to Touch, and Everything, Everything. This wanted to dive into such issues, but with a love story mixed in. I found I wanted more details about the why. I also wasn‘t in love with the ending.

Norah, a teen struggling with OCD and agoraphobia, spends a lot of time alone in her house. This is an authentic portrayal of her anxiety mixed with the thrill and hope of attraction to and friendship with Luke next door.

YA about a teen dealing with anxiety, agoraphobia, and OCD. The details about how the MC experiences all of these in her day to day were very real and not sensationalized. Tied in with a romance but not in a "romance cures mental illness" way. TW: self-harm

Another great YA book that looks at mental illness. This time OCD and agoraphobia. It was raw and real and the perfect balance of seriousness and comedic relief. Nora saw herself as broken and as a stigma and I loved that her mom and Luke challenged that. Highly recommend.

Such and amazing and heartbreaking story. You can really feel Norah's struggle with her mental illness. I've had very few books that have made me one with the characters.

I was afraid that this was going to be about a guy saving a girl from her mental illness but it wasn't.

The author did an amazing job with this story and it will be forever a book I recommend to everyone I come in contact to and want recommendations lol.
