My daughter wanted me to make a culture square for Instagram, about me. I offered a stack of book titles instead. I would love to see other people do this!

Prairiegirl_reading I‘m an Instagram stalker in that I check it often but have never posted anything. What is a culture square and are these are stack of favourites? I guess I‘m asking for more information. Lol!!! 6y
Chrissyreadit @Prairiegirl_reading a culturesquare looks like a BINGO card but with more boxes and they fill in a word or phrase to self describe so someone could look at it and have an idea about who you are/like/do from the square. I used my nonfiction bookshelf to pull titles that mostly reflect my personality. 6y
Chrissyreadit @Prairiegirl_reading she is making a culturesquare for me so I will see if I can share on litsy when it is done. 6y
Prairiegirl_reading Ooohhh! Cool! 😄 6y

sloanghost I have a Q about the raven cycle: I really loved the first book, but also found the ending really abrupt and sloppy in a way that jarred me and left me with unpleasant feelings. Does the rest of the series improve in that regard? 6y
looseleafbooks @sloanghost Honestly, I think the first book was really reserved from her style in order to get the series signed with a publisher. The rest of the books have evidence of editing down, but the pacing and scope of the plot arc makes a lot more sense going forward. I hope you decide to give them a shot! 6y
sloanghost @looseleafbooks thank you, I will! It sounds like it gets smoother for sure 6y

I finally made a bitmoji and this is pretty accurate to how I look lol. And yes I do constantly have “resting bitch” face. Sometimes it stops people from interrupting me while I‘m reading.

MinDea You did such a great job! It does look like you! 👏👏👏👏 6y
TheLibrarian My resting face is a frown 😂 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @MinDea hahaha thanks! 6y

Purrfectpages I have the same sort of face. It‘s s blessing, and a curse. 6y
GypsyKat I love it! 💗 I wish I had resting bitch face! I am all together too friendly looking apparently, strangers are always talking to me! The hubs tells me that I smile at just about everyone we pass which is probably why, but I don‘t even realize that I‘m doing it! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @GypsyKat aw see your just nice. I don‘t mean to have that face but it‘s my natural state lol. And if I do accidentally make eye contact with someone my smile is so awkward. But this face does not deter people. I get people approaching at my train stop asking for help a lot. 6y
GypsyKat @That-Bookish-Hiker I guess lol We we‘re out shopping a couple months ago and Chris said to me “I know why people come up and talk to you all the time. It‘s because you smile at everyone we pass”. I was like “I do? I should stop doing that!” 😂 my introvert/extrovert natures are at constant war. Im sure your smile can‘t be as awkward as you feel it is if people talk to you a lot too. ❤️ 6y

This is my #Litsyavatar. I took the selfie to ask my sister in law if the red lipstick look ok.

I think this is a year old 🤷🏽‍♀️.

GypsyKat The red lipstick is great! ❤️ 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @GypsyKat thank you! I have a huge collection of red lipsticks now and I told my husband not to let me buy anymore lol. I‘ve been trying to find a really good lip stain in red. 6y
GypsyKat @That-Bookish-Hiker It‘s hard to find a good lip stain. I just got some from Sephora that I‘m trying now. We‘ll see. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @GypsyKat oooh let me know how those work. 6y
GypsyKat @That-Bookish-Hiker I will! 6y
GypsyKat Ok, so the matte long-wear lipstick I got from Sephora isn‘t actually a lip stain. I still like it a lot, but the search continues! Clinique used to make a gel blush and lip stain years ago that I loved, but they stopped making it and I haven‘t found one I liked as much since. 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker @GypsyKat oh dang. I have some lipsticks from ColourPop that are long lasting and don‘t come off when you drink but if you try eating with it it comes off and leaves a weird lime around your mouth. So you basically look like your only wearing lip liner lol. 6y
GypsyKat @That-Bookish-Hiker That‘s never good! 6y

@SilversReviews this is my favorite idea of the day. 😁 I am kind of obsessed with my #bitmoji and jump at the chance to throw her in any digital conversation I can. (No, really. Just ask my sister or husband.) And yes, mine looks a *lot* like me, RBF and all. Ha!
