#1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Sandra Brown delivers her trademark nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in this thriller about tainted heroism, cold fury, and vengeance without mercy. Kerra Bailey is a television journalist on the rise, and she's hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to even greater heights: an interview with the legendary Major Trapper. Twenty-five years ago, the Major emerged a hero from the bombing of the Pegasus Hotel in downtown Dallas when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors out of the collapsing building. The iconic picture transformed him into a beloved national icon, in constant demand for speeches and interviews--until he suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all members of the media. However, Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get to the Major--even if she has to wrangle an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper. Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, John Trapper wants no association with the hotel bombing or his hero father, and spurns the meddling reporters determined to drag them back into the limelight. Yet Kerra's sheer audacity and tantalizing hints that there's more to the story rouse Trapper's interest despite himself. And when her interview of a lifetime goes catastrophically awry--with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra--Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he's going to track down the gunmen before they strike again . . . as well as discover, finally, who was responsible for the Pegasus bombing. Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence collected during his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces and risk their very lives to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy running deep through Texas--and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

This book was ok. The main character is a hot head private detective who meets a woman reporter. They said it's a thriller but it's not gory enough. It should be classified as a mystery romance. It was quite a page turner with a slight twist at the end that I never saw coming

#ThingsInCommon I decided on these authors being woman. Also they are both Thrillers. This was a fun April Reading Challenge. @Clwojick

Not my favourite Sandra Brown. The book was hard to get interested in, on the upside the romance scenes were very open door!

I‘m not sure how to rate this one...it started off really strong and I couldn‘t put it down, but somewhere near the middle there were unnecessary parts that made it long, unbelievable parts to the story and too much intimate story lines...I‘m all for love and romance in a book but I don‘t need to read several pages at a time describing what‘s going on! Just get back to the story please!!

Not bad, alittle too much lovey dovey for my liking. I love Sandra Brown, but this I didn't think was her best

This is a favorite author. This story is about a disgraced ATF agent investigating a rich tycoon he suspects was behind a tragic bombing years before. His father had been a hero carrying out a small child from the building. Trapper meets a news reporter with a special insight into the bombing. Intrigue and betrayal. Highly recommend.

#2018Book117
This starts to fall apart a little in the second half and the main male character turns into one of those obnoxious characters who ruins everything because he can't be bothered to have a five-second conversation with anyone. And while some parts of the reveal at the end made sense, the ultimate "twist" came so far out of left field that it was almost ridiculous.

This was my first Sandra Brown. It was pretty good. I really liked The characters but it was a rad too long. It started with a bang and lagged in the middle. Strong finish though!

The story was fine - although predictable; Brown‘s formula is clear. My real problem was the narrator, Victor Slezak. His voice was not even close to what I expected, or would have wanted, for John Trapper.

I have no idea what I‘m in the mood to read. I‘m still doing the #1000wordsofsummer so maybe that is messing with my reading concentration. This was on sale today. I‘ll give it a try.

Sandra Brown has been at the top of the game for so long it is hard to imagine her getting better. But to my eye, she has. Seeing Red perfectly blends romance and thriller into one fantastic package. The personal and plot tension keeps ramping up seamlessly to the satisfying conclusion. Seeing Red just gave me one more reason to make sure Sandra remains cemented in my “never miss” authors list.

bookaholic1 I won it off Goodreads. Going to love it. Last year I became a big fan of Sandra Brown after my friend gave me all of hers 6y

Intrigue, suspense & mystery surround the characters in this story who share a common thread, the bombing of a hotel that changed their lives. While the characters are a bit predictable, the plot is interesting and the ending surprising with a couple of twists. Don't read this novel if you are offended by explicit sexual content.

4⭐️SANDRA BROWN grabs her readers and won‘t let go until the last page is turned. Both her dialog & her writing are engaging, & her plot is just complicated enough to keep you guessing. Kerra & John‘s relationship is full of both tension & chemistry, and their escapades may leave you breathless. SEEING RED is entertaining, suspenseful & filled with sexual tension. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/167950037459/seeing-red-sandra-brown-my-ratin...

I don‘t think there is a book by Sandra Brown that I dislike. She is a writer that grabs your attention and holds it with a rollercoaster ride of intrigue and twists. Seeing Red is no different. With Brown, you hold your breath until the very last page. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this novel. I do wish the twist was a little crazier, but that‘s truly my only complaint. A great read.

#TBRtemptation post 7! Released soon. Another major hit for Brown fans! Kerra's a rising tv journalist hot on the trail of interviewing American hero Major Trapper, who suddenly dropped out of the public eye. She'll work through his son, former ATF agent John. She senses there's much untold about Major's heroic tale with a bomb & hostages. When gunmen try to take the 3 of them out, things rise to a whole other level. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
