She was fearless in her duties as commander, protector, loyal citizen and faithful friend.👇🏽

This got lost in my pile of library books, and I forgot I had it. Excited to dig in.

Roxane Gay makes her graphic novel debut with this tale of the women that largely live and run the land of Wakanda while Black Panther/T'Challa is with the Avengers and saving the larger world. Strong characters set this story of love and vengeance apart. I loved this! Aneka and Ayo are wonderful characters that I couldn't help but root for, as individuals and as a couple. The art is everything I could have wanted. I just wish there was going to be more of the series.

I enjoyed this even though I only picked it up for the challenges- and Roxane Gay!

Okay, so I loved A Nation Under Our Feet, but this...damn, I love love love love love! #24in48 Six books down. Shocking.

A really fun read. It was great to read a Marvel comic that was so diverse and representative- it really felt like a story for the modern age.

My surgery was this AM. Surprisingly I don't feel too poorly though I expect this means tomorrow will be worse. I've actually been able to read a bit here and there and have had lots of cat snuggles.
