This novel was mentioned in a podcast I listen to (any other murderinos out there?) I love this kind of personal perspective. I think most people refuse to acknowledge that, at least on one level, these "monsters" are just regular humans like the rest of us; but that's the part that really fascinates me. We like to think that we would inherently "know" that something is off/wrong and Ann Rule shows us how inaccurate that assumption really is.

VeronicaWrites Another murderino here! Loved this book. SSDGM ❤️ 7y
Velvetsun Murderino here, too. The podcast made me want to re read this one after many years. 💙 6y

Literally just re-downloaded Litsy because I NEED TO TALK ABOUT HOW THIS BOOK RUINED MY LIFE!! Naturally I mean that as a compliment. I have always believed that true art makes you experience an entire spectrum of feelings, including negative ones, and boy does this book give you ALL OF THE FEELS! I read the whole book in one sitting, walked upstairs, put my head in my boyfriend's lap, and sobbed. 1000% recommend reading this one!

Just picked this up today. So far I'm completely addicted! Futuristic + dystopian = count me in!

Tried to read this on several occasions and failed every time. I think perhaps it's just too far out there, even for my eclectic tastes.

#Day8 of #MarchIntoReading - #GuiltyPleasures are my specialty!! There's nothing I love more than an easy read when life (and/or work) gets tough! I read a lot of YA fiction/fantasy (the Night World Series being one of my favourites) and one of my all-time (secret) favourite books is Eat, Pray, Love. Not my typical genre, my mom & grandmother made me see the movie & afterward I read, and fell in love with, the book!

#Day8 of #BookishSpring2017 is #KickassGirls! Two amazing female protagonists from two of my favourite series immediately came to mind: Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and Lila Bard from Shades of Magic. Clever, brave, and unapologetically themselves; these girls are literary role models ❤

I devoured this book in a day and it is so, SO beautiful! A semi-dysfunctional family tries to navigate through life as they grieve the loss of their wife/mother, as told by the youngest daughter Elvis. Moving, poignant, and at times quirky and funny, it brings us on a journey of life, death, grief, and love. I absolutely recommend reading this book!!

#Day7 has apparently been a challenge for me all around! I looked through my bookshelves for a #Lighthouse for #MarchIntoReading to no avail! So instead I give you another book on my ever-lengthening #TBR list!

Confess: A Novel | Colleen Hoover

#Day7 of #BookishSpring2017 is "favourite Colleen Hoover book." Which lead me to googling Colleen Hoover lol. A quick search leads me to believe her books are primarily romance, which is really more my mother's style. So I guess I'll take a pass on this one.

Just finished my last night shift this morning. Taking it easy today because I can feel a nasty cold coming on 😖 this crazy creature is certain she can cuddle and purr me back to health while I read ❤

For a while this book was ... tolerable. But it got progressively weirder and harder to follow. I eventually gave up.

#Day6 of #BookishSpring2017- book and coffee! After finally making it through Glass Sword, I'm not ready to take on King's Cage just yet. So I've decided to move onto this shorter, fun-sounding #MarchTBR with a cup of pumpkin pie coffee :)

#Day6 of #MarchIntoReading - #HappyReads. Any time I feel like things are going wrong in my life, I do two things: I rewatch Dexter and reread Harry Potter voraciously. Hogwarts will always be home ❤

Thanks to a particularly slow night at work, I finally made it through my first March #TBR. I wish I could say I liked this book. I loved Red Queen. I'm terrible at critiquing anything; all I can really say is this book did not hold my attention like the first one did. Besides a short period halfway through, it dragged on for what felt like forever. Hopefully King's Cage is better, because I already bought it 😖

#Day5 of #BookishSpring2017 - book with name in the title. The Ramones is one of my favourite bands; I downloaded a sample of this book and it's definitely on my #TBR list

#Day5 of #MarchIntoReading ... I've been so curious (and slightly jealous) of all the #bookmail I see, so I did some google searching. Originally wanted BotM, alas, I'm Canadian. So I signed up for Read Dog. And this I can definitely #BlameItOnLitsy

#Day4 of #MarchIntoReading - didn't like it, still finished - was a true challenge for me. I honestly don't tend to finish reading books I don't like. My short attention span and desire to read at least 10 other books prevents me from being stubborn enough to suffer lol! So I chose to go with my #CurrentRead, Glass Sword, because I'm struggling but determined to get through it because I already bought the third book in the series!

#Day4 of #BookishSpring2017 forever belongs to the final Harry Potter book. I grew up with the characters in these novels, and even as a child I knew I was a Slytherin and I was so deeply in love with Severus Snape. #UglyCry happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I read his memories. EVERY TIME.

Aaaand #Day3 of #MarchIntoReading - recent non-fiction read. Dr. Goldman is a well renowned physician in Toronto, ON. This book is a real behind-the-scenes look at a busy metro emergency department as well as a wonderful blend of individual patient cases and a discussion of both the science and humanity of medicine.

Better late than never! #Day3 of #BookishSpring2017 - 3 books, 3 different genres. I picked graphic novel, fiction/literature, and psychology/memoir. All fantastic reads :) I had the opportunity to meet Sara Jane Thornton a few years back and she is a truly inspirational woman!

Not nearly as good as the first three. It's kind of like the original Star Wars trilogy... everything else is non canon and I don't care what you say to the contrary.

My boyfriend's favourite book. I started to read it once but I'm one of those people that tries to read a dozen books at the same time. Being a Maritimer myself, I do love his description of the pull of the sea. Must give this book another go at some point.
