Enjoyed the father & toddler-daughter scenes; it had a good flow, low key, very lil angst 👍 There were times Zara was a lil too prickly for me, but it works for her. I thought I knew the Bruiser team well but Dave had slipped my memory till this book 😅 I liked him here, he had his troubles but managed to work through em 👍

I finished this a short while ago, was an interesting read, am interested enough I'd get the 2nd book, but I definitely had some issues with it. 🙁

It needed more 'show' & less 'tell'; it needed to balance out the timeline, too many time skips - would be great if we're informed of a time skip instead of just dropping us into a whole new scene x years later 🤔 Although, it did get better past the 70% mark😅

The artwork was gorgeous! Sana Takeda just blows my mind ? Although once again the story felt "too little and too much" all at the same time. While it wasn't BAD, I just didn't LOVE it ? I wanted to so badly! But it definitely holds my interest that I want to know how this ends up & will continue to collect the rest of the series.

PS: Kippa is my favorite character, she is just too ADORABLE ?

I would love to photograph every single page 😍 I didn't LOVE it but story had a good amount of intrigue, which kept me entertained👍I appreciate that it features strong female characters😀 Vol 2 has just been released!!!! I had way too much fun reading this book! It made it as one of my fave reads for this year ? Loved the Southern-ness of the whole read. Although a lil miffed Drew was from A&M ? "Oh bless his heart" (I'm a Longhorn). Enjoyed it so much that I had to recommend it to my sister (who is an Aggie ?) oh petty college rivalry!
