??? 1mo

I‘ve got to admit that I got hyped by my boyfriend to read this series: and I don‘t regret it! :)
I was expecting Ophélie to be a “Mary Sue” kind of character, but she stays true to who she is, as do the other characters! Thorn was specially a surprise, as I was expecting him to “soften out of nowhere” as it happens in other stories haha!
I will continue reading the series ;)

It made me laugh at the end when Linda ends up with Fabrice, and I could see that some French stereotypes haven‘t changed... but otherwise, I didn‘t find the book all that alluring: it was slow-paced for me! Anyways, it‘s not bad, but it‘s not my favorite either...

I thought it was going to be the “classic” plot of a dystopia of discrimination based on X characteristic (this time, blood color), and inequality... I was actually even “predicting” the end of the book and BAM I was caught off guard 😱
Without realizing it, I finished the book in a few days, and I couldn‘t put it down!
I‘ll definitely continue reading the saga... :)

So-so experience.
I was expecting a good laugh, and while some parts were pretty damn funny, I found myself reflecting on the hard truths behind the situations (‘women aren‘t always taken seriously at the workplace‘, for exemple), which mostly depressed me at times. Maybe I just read it at a bad time in my life! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Even if I‘m disappointed in the “fun” part, it‘a still a really good book, and I recommend it :)

I followed the author on instagram before finding this book at the library!
The drawings are super cute, and the facts are interesting too :) so it makes a good book for small kids and adults alike (the facts are more detailed at the end of the book!).
I recommend it!

The first book of “The Witcher” series that I read, and honestly, it‘s darn good. I now understand why it was well translated as a game, too.
Anyways, I had to ask my boyfriend for some explanations about some characters, but it was overall easy to understand and grasp 👍🏻

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.
At some parts I was super shocked that Margaret Atwood could write about some events that are still 100% true for women and society to this day !
My boyfriend quickly got bored of it, but I couldn‘t stop reading, so maybe it‘s a book that resonates more with females...? Not sure.
Anyways: it‘s a must read for me! 😄👍🏻

I was gonna rate it “so-so” up until the end!

All throughout the book I thought that Archer would eventually give in, and I‘m (pleasantly??? Not quite) surprised that he did not cave in even when he could 😵 I even felt guilty at the end for rooting for him and Ellen to end up together haha!

These kind of books are usually from a feminine POV, so that was refreshing too 😀
