Walked 4k this week.
Read a couple of peoms so no progress on books this week.
Sorry I haven't posted my process. School and work have been kicking my butt.
For this past week I walked 3k
I'm changing my weekly walking goal from 10k weekly to 5k.
Book count is changing to 3.
I know I'm a day or 2 late but here is my weekly process for #BFC #bookfitnesschallenge. Tried hiking Mt evans and since there's little to no cell reception all I have proof is pics. Books read since challenge = 1. Sixth day at work so I say it's been a busy week.
@TheWordJar sorry the post is a day late. Thank you so much for everything! I'm posting another picture of what I couldn't fit in this one soon. Idk how you knew bout my sweet spot for butterflies and journaling but thank you so much! XD
P.s. is there anyway to upload more than 1 pic at time on Litsy? I've been trying to figure it out and having no luck.
Sorry that I've been out of commission due to 2 different big life accidents that have happened to me since I last posted on here and on my YouTube channel. This picture is a sneak peek of what I'll be reviewing on YouTube. I have not read this book yet so sorry for the misleading pic.
So this book as you already probably know is a great book. It was a reread for me through but I forgot everything that I read in middle or high school when I original read it.
It's a great stand alone book from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. It does however goes with the Lord of Rings series.
Overall the book was good. It was interesting because it's Tolkien's 1st known written work even if it's unfinished. If you like Tolkien and getting to understand how 1 of the greatest authors became to be then it's a must read.
It's hard to read but so worth it.
I'm new to this whole hashtag thing, so what's #feedareader? I saw it and I honestly don't know what it's about....
This book was overall good. Think it would've been nice to read the version that was published before the movies because the copy I was reading had mostly a chapter referring to the movie.
I haven't seen the movie so the only reason why I didn't stop is cause the artist in me was curious on their 4D Design secrets they were willing to share. Which wasn't much. Besides that bump it was a good book. :)
Just a lil bit halfway done with Dunkirk. There is so much infor in this book that it's hard not to eat it up. O.o
This book hit so close to home it was scary. However, it was one of those reads that helped me actually see that my life isn't really all that bad.
Reason why it hit home is cause I'm an artist and I just recently broke my right elbow,(it's the 1 I draw with), and well art is my life. King did a good job, it's not his greatest but it allowed to help out ppl going thro physical disabilities which is amazing!
Overall good read! :)
Most current read b4 bed and when i wake up. So far it's good but only just started. Using this book for my summer reading program at the local library. :)
Hated this book! Couldn't even finish the 1st 10 chapters cause I kept falling asleep each damn time!!! Author doesn't know how to write, only knows how to interview, which are totally 2 different things!!! Hate it so much I'm leaving it in a hotel lobby for some unfornute soul! It's either that or throw it away...
Does anyone know how to keep rats away from books????
"But, as the survivors of the Essex came to know, once the end has been reached and all hope, passion, and force of will have been expended, the bones may be all that are left."
"In their dedication to killing sperm whales the Nantucketers had developed a system of social relationships that mimicked those of their prey."
"Later it would be said that when Captain Russell had left the Essex to assume command of the Aurora, he had taken his old ship's luck with him."
He then dismissed the men with the words "Set the watch, Mr. Chase."
"Then it was that I, for the first time, realized that I was alone upon a wide and an unfeeling world. . .without one relative or friend to bestow one kind word upon me."
"A "keppin" had his own "kebbin" and was more often than not a "merrid" man, while a "met" kept the ship's log for the entire "viege"."
Some more words to try to understand...these are harder to get thro my head :/
Ile = oil
Keeping clothes in an area = Chist
Sharp = shurp
Attacking a large whale = atteking a lirge whale
Some words to know in this book....
Death to the living,
Long life to the killers,
Success to sailors wives,
And greasy luck to whalers.
