Ever wonder about the kids on those mom blogs you read? Well, JFC a crack at what it might be like to be the child of a successful blog & a YouTube star. JFC is told from POV of Claire -17, & not as into the success her moms blog & the YouTube channel she shares with her twin. She just wants to be normal. But what is normal in a world that lives on the internet? JFC tackles SOME tough subjects while also a fun, relatable story.

Really enjoyed this installment in series. It‘s a May/Dec romance that, for once, doesn‘t have crazy angst over the age gap! The two MCs are totally open & honest with their feelings though their relationship isn‘t without its issues. Which puts them at odds at times but things are resolved nicely & not too quickly to make it seem unrealistic. Strong writing & great chemistry fill this story & I had a hard time putting it down.

I love how Hoang tackles romance & how she writes such vivid, heart-felt characters. I devoured this book and loved Khai and Esme‘s story. It also left me wanting Quan‘s story even more as he was such an amazing brother and friend to Khai & Esme both. It‘s similar but also different from TKQ so if you loved that book you are sure to like this one as well. The Bride Test left me wanting more and has sealed Helen Hoang as a must read author for me!

Sarahreadstoomuch I thought of you today & this book when I saw TKQ on the shelf. 5y

Anyone else get wary of books with kids in them? I sure do. It‘s so hard to capture that crazy spontaneous mindset of a child but I should have known better than to doubt #annabethalbert! Her books are always so real & filled with amazing characters. I found it so hard to put this one down!! Loved the push/pull of the two MCs as they juggled unexpected parenthood and dealing with so many feelings...love, loss, regret. It was all there in spades.

This was an enjoyable mystery set in Norway & I really liked the looked into a police procedural that was different from the US or UK. The characters were likeable but where this one fell short for me was that it was unnecessarily burdened things down. Overall I did enjoy it and will read more in this series.

FUTURE FAKE HUSBAND. This bk contains 2 of my favorite tropes, fake relationship & falling for a best friends sibling. I loved the story of Rhett and Cole and it gave me all the happy feels. best of all there is no major angst or pointless breakups just two people who never thought to look at each other until necessity made it hard for them to look away. I hated for this one to end and recommend to all who are looking for a bk to make them smile

The Resolutions | Mia Garcia

I wasn‘t sure what to expect when I picked this one up but I adored it! Told from multiple POV from 4 best friends who make resolutions for each other. The story takes place over the course of a year and each friend is at a #crossroads and facing some difficult situations. The Resolutions was a heartwarming story of friendship filled with a diverse cast. I loved how this story played out and how all the characters interacted with each other.

It‘s been forever since I‘ve been on Litsy and I hope to change that in 2019. Starting with logging my first read of 2019 - Playing for Keeps by Jill Shalvis. It‘s not my favorite of series but I loved Sadie even if Caleb was a bit flat and 2D. The plotting was a bit of mess as well and hopefully that gets evened out in the fina copy.

Book 7 of 2018: The Cuckoo‘s Calling by Robert Gilbraith 🌟🌟🌟1/2 (3.5 Stars) Three Thoughts 1) really great old school style detective novel that moved just a little too slowly for my tastes 2) enjoyed the characters and the mystery and will keep up with the series 3) a little predictable at times but was a good audiobook Robert Glensteir was a perfect Cormoran Strike though his accent/styling of Robin seemed to change every time she spoke

Book 5 of 2018: Geekerella by Ashley Poston 🌟🌟🌟 Three Thoughts 1) I loved Elle, Darian and Sage but wish the rest of cast was tossed in a volcano - such terrible people!!! 2) kind of hated how Elle could be so strong at times that didn‘t matter and so passive when they did 3) thought the ending was wrapped up too fast and didn‘t fault by the grand romantic gesture at end - a solid 3 Stars bonus: kind of wish show mention in book was real

Book 4 of 2018: Age of Myth by Michael J Sullivan 🌟🌟🌟🌟(4 Stars) Three Thoughts 1) started off a little slow but wow that ending!! 2) I don‘t love these characters as much as Royce from the Riyria books but they are growing on me 3) well crafted world and storytelling and I‘m looking forward to seeing where this series goes

I enjoyed this but didn't super love it. Felt it predictable and a bit slow in beginning. I also wasn't a fan of the shifting POV and would have preferred this solely from Diana's POV. Alia annoyed me though she did grow on my by end. I liked how this was an adventure story and didn't have much romance. It also had a good narrator that captures Diana well.

Another cute MG read - this one based on fairy tales. Lots of set up in this book as it's the first in a series so the plot seemed a bit rushed at end. Liked the characters and premise and believe this is a series that can only improve as it goes and the characters/world all become more developed.

Anyone have good recommendations for things to do in Copenhagen? I may have just booked a trip there...

BethFishReads You can skip Tivoli -- see the dragon spire, the church with the outdoor spiral staircase, there's a cool botanical garden, the royal castle was worth it. Good food. Just wander around. You can see Karen Blixen's house (a train ride away—I didn't get there). 7y

Started this on audio today and while I liked the narrator she reads way too fast. I tried to slow down the narration but that made things too robotic. In the end I ended up returning to audible and buying the eBook instead. I'm interested in the story but just can't with this narrator since I have to keep rewinding to catch things I've missed
