Hadley Jamison is shocked when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, has committed suicide. She didnt know the quiet, reserved guy very well, but that doesnt stop her from feeling there was something she could have done to help him. Hoping to find some sense of closure, Hadley attends Archers funeral. There, Hadley is approached by a man who calls himself Death and offers her a deal. If Hadley accepts, she will be sent back 27 days in time to prevent Archer from killing himself. But when Hadley agrees to Deaths terms and goes back to right the past, she quickly learns her mission is harder than she ever could have known. Hadley soon discovers Archers reasons for being alone, and Archer realizes that having someone to confide in isnt as bad as hed always thought. But when a series of dangerous accidents starts pushing them apart, Hadley must decide whether she is ready to risk everythingincluding her lifeto keep Archer safe. From award-winning Wattpad author Alison Gervais (HonorInTheRain) comes In 27 Days, a story of redemption, first love, and the strength it takes to change the future.

What if Death and Havoc were physical beings capable of approaching you and carrying on conversations? What if you were tasked to stop a suicide? I really enjoyed this book and storyline, it was unique and thought provoking.

"There are things in this life that make all the other crap worth it... grab those moments, those people, and you run with them and you fight with everything you have to never lose them." [page 307]

Hadley makes a deal with Death, that in 27 days she can keep Archer, a boy she goes to school with, from ending his life. #ya #NewHogwartsAdventure #Death @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

Interesting concept. Would make a great movie. Wonder if a movie is in the works?

I love this reference to a great old movie!

"I'm the whippoorwill that cries in the night. I'm the soft morning breeze that caresses your lovely face." - Peter Warne (Clark Gable) ? #moviereference

This was a great book! I liked that the premise of the book was different than usual. Typical of a quest, Hadley, learned something about herself along the way. #ya #sciencefiction #fantasy #librarylove #englishteacher #teachersoflitsy #favoriteartwork

ElleSkel What is the artwork ??? It‘s beautiful 😍 6y
CoffeeNBooks @Elle_Skeldon It's called Rebirth, by BD Minks. My husband & I bought it in Asheville, NC a few years ago. 6y

Mehso-so

This was a tough one. I really enjoyed the fresh take on sensitive subject matter handled in a more conversationally engaging way that Thirteen Reasons Why (don't even get me started). I also enjoyed the supernatural twist & reciprocal narrative elements (our character evolves as does the story). It wobbled a couple times on plot crutches (second act 'villain') & SLIIIIIGHTLY pat ending. This was a mooooostly good read!

Started this on audio today and while I liked the narrator she reads way too fast. I tried to slow down the narration but that made things too robotic. In the end I ended up returning to audible and buying the eBook instead. I'm interested in the story but just can't with this narrator since I have to keep rewinding to catch things I've missed
