Disappointing. After reading the Next Door Neighbor I thought this book would be much better than it was and when they killed the dogs I was completely done with it and didn't care what happened to the girls.... I finished it and was just blah... Marwood is a talented writer but this story just went round and round, was like watching paint dry. Note to all authors: never kill the pets. Never. 🐾🐾📚

I preordered this book and waited patiently. When it arrived I told myself I would read it slowly and savor each chapter. I finished it like my dog slowly eats a biscuit 🤦🏻‍♀️ so now I will patiently wait for her next book 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess I'm in a nerdy phase of book reading lately 🤓 narrator is great which is a find for nonfiction books like these

Completely geeking out on the periodic table 🤓. Wish school had made chemistry this interesting. You know a book is good when it opens curiosity and has you look at other sources of information to learn more and this book is just that 💯. 👩🏻‍🏫⚗🧪🧫🧬🔬

Someone told me that books that make you feel things you don't like are actually good for you, growth or something like that.... so many times I thought of bailing on this book but her voice was so enchanting and it was out of my comfort zone to read so I finished it but was still a so so read for me.
I've never seen Top Chef so went into this read knowing nothing about her.

I heard many people rag on this book probably because its predecessor, The Martian, was such a phenomenal book. I thought this book was great it just needed one thing.... an epilogue. After this book I read Weir's short stories called "The Egg", another great read!! I will definitely be reading Weir's next book

Should have waited for it to become available at the library but was so excited I bought it and was disappointed. The whole book was just snippets of Super Soul Sunday Ah Ha's... not saying some were good life tips but really thought she was writing an original book.

I have read decluttering books b4 & gotten a few things out of Peter Walsh & miss Marie Kondo "Spark of Joy" & Julie Morgenstern but THIS is the 1st book that had a major shift. Keep whatever you want as long as it fits in the "container" THEN apply other wisdom from other decluttering masters made it actual possible to do. I'm so happy I stumbled on this little jem of a book. Even made the beginning chapters of annoying parts tolerable

Is it wrong to select a book by its narrator?? If it is, I don't want to be right 😉 Imogen Church is one of my favorites 💗

RadicalReader @BBooks “if it‘s wrong to select a book based on unreliable narrators I don‘t wanna be right.” So well said 7mo
BBooks @RadicalReader I do have a few narrators I avoid too 🤷🏻‍♀️ 7mo

Does anyone wait to commit to reading a book on Listy and or Goodreads until your a few chapters in? 🙋🏻‍♀️
Well, I'm so glad I did start it and will recommend it to anyone who asks and even some who don't, what to read next. 💖📖🌺

I‘ve seen Littens tag books with a ribbon before the title....how is this done?

Zelma When you add a comment, you will see a little ribbon and skull beneath the comment line. Clicking the skull makes your comment a spoiler. The ribbon leads you to search a book title and allows you to tag a book. 14mo
