Mickey7: A Novel | Edward Ashton

Good premise but dragged a bit. Too much on goo and paste. After reading Andy Weir my expectations for this genre is high.

Great book, did the audio version and narrator was great. Only thing I would have like is a separation signal between stories.

I don't usually pick up "romance" books but was curious because Julia Whelan wrote it and she narrated it too. Took a while to get into and chapter 18 dragged a little for me but overall a good read and Whelan's narration was great.

Why does YA for girls ALWAYS have a "romance", granted this was written less boy crazy from others but still, boy YA books don't have these themes ?. Anywho...pretty predictable so not sure if I'll continue with the series. Really only read it because my niece recommended and now she's busy with school so we couldn't "book club"... BOO

Still reading this one. I really want to love it but already had to speed up the narration a bit. 🎧 📚

What a great find! Daveed Diggs narration is perfect. A mythology with a melancholy undercurrent of a horrific historic reality 😢 🧜🏿‍♀️

Read on vacation 🏖🍹 pretty easy read but overall I was disappointed with it.😕 No spoilers and I still think Paula Hawkins is a fantastic writer but this book was a thumbs down for me. Now I have to wait for her next ⏳📚

Ordinary Grace: A Novel | William Kent Krueger

Book club pick not one I would have picked. Slow coming of age with a mystery twist. I was surprised to like it so much. Only two complaints was narrator interpretation of one of the female characters, Ruth and the name Arielle seemed out of place for a story set in the 60's.

Not as good as I thought it would be, had to speed up narration speed push through. It did have a good ending/epilog.

Technically written well but this is not I would have read if it had not been a book club pick. Made me cry and angry and end was not consistent with characters Mrs. Kaminsky and Mo. If the girls had been in senior year, 18 vs. 16 it would had made more sense.

Catherine Steadman does it again. I absolutely loved this book! I could not stop reading it. She's also the narrator and does a fantastic job. Downside, now I have to wait for her next book. 📚💚

A recommendation from a bookstore employee so I was intrigued, good title. I thought it was a a thriller but did wonder why it was in the YA section.
I really don't like discourage a book i don't like to others but this book was Eh, I finished it which if it was completely terrible I wouldn't have but very predictable ☹ There was some really good lines in the book but they didn't belong, darlings that needed to be cut.

Narrator is great, although the library copy had a few skips in the production it was a good listen. It was a good quick read and wasn't bias. It was a YouTube who happens to be a doctor reccomendation so I took a chance as not something I would have sought out. 😉🙃
