I think I'm hooked on this series about everyone in this family finding love. It was quite a good book that I read pretty quickly. #Read2026 @DieAReader #SeriesLove26

2/120 Taking place between the original series 5 year mission and the first Star Trek movie, it covers what happens to Kirk, Spock & McCoy as they go their separate ways from the Enterprise. Uhura plays a small part in the story, but I was disappointed there was no Scotty, Checkov and Sulu in the story. Also, did the author have to shoehorn in a romance for Kirk? It adds nothing to the overall story. I guess, even in the 23rd Century, men and ⬇️

tournevis This one has not aged well because it's following TOS conventions from 1966-69 and it shows 14h
RamsFan1963 @tournevis I was wondering if you know, but is the Star Trek animated series from the 70s considered canon? Beyond the regular cast, there were other characters, like Harry Mudd, that appeared in TOS. Also, the episode, The Slaver Weapon, written by Larry Niven, introduce the cat-like Kzinti warriors from his books into the Star Trek universe. 10h

tournevis @RamsFan1963 From ots cancellation to around 2020, no. Until Roddenberry's death, it was mostly because he felt he had not been part of TAS enough. The Slaver Weapon was also an issue, and the main reason it was excluded after that. Only Yesteryear was always considered canon because D.C. Fontana wrote it. Everything else is game to be incorporated into canon by current writers, except what belongs to Niven. 2h
tournevis @RamsFan1963 That's how you get characters, species and references in Lower Decks 2h
RamsFan1963 @tournevis I need to watch Lower Decks. I've only seen clips of it on Tik Tok, but it looks like a lot of fun, playing with Star Trek lore. 2h
tournevis @RamsFan1963 It is my favourite new Trek, bar none. 1h

Great writing, characters, with suspense, redemption, and secrets — a sequel to The Last Thing He Told Me. Unfortunately there were too many years since I read the first one and I forgot a LOT 😳

Leftcoastzen One reviewer noted that too , a long time . They said they cheated and rewatched the TV adaptation.I watched it but now have forgotten what platform it was streaming on!😂 22h
rwmg I've taken to reading an AI generated summary of the previous books if it's been too long since I read the series. 19h

I never wanted to read this book even though I'm a Canadian. The tv shows used to drive me nuts. But then I needed to do an audio book so I could do embroidery. I'll post that later. I wasn‘t too sure about this one at first, but it started to grow on me. It‘s a little gem of a book, a gentle exploration of a community in late 60s/early 70s Vienna.

1/120 It wasn't the best Star Wars novel I've ever read, but it kept my attention so I'll give it a low pick. Halland Goth, Commander of the Emperor's Crimson Guard, is sent by the Emperor to spy on Darth Vader. This takes place right after Revenge of the Sith, so Vader is a mysterious figure within the Empire, people don't know its Anakin Skywalker in the armor. Vader is searching for a great power source of the Dark Side, hoping to find ⬇️

RamsFan1963 the power to defy death and bring back his beloved Padme. I have to say, the narrator does do a good job with Vader's voice, coming close to the original. 3.5/5 ⭐ #Read2026 #SeriesLove2026 2d
