Open: An Autobiography | Andre Agassi

I still have very little time to post, but here are the next 4 books I've read for the #52bookclub24 challenge.

eeclayton (5) Magical realism -- It's a heartbreaking and also heartwarming story, but it didn't resonate with me as much as it could have if it didn't use all these far-fetched elements like the all-knowing tree and literate mice and storyteller butterflies. 4w
eeclayton (10) Told in non-chronological order -- To me, the plot was more interesting than the first novel's, but the final chapter with the backstory was so long and boooring #noplacelikeHolmes 4w
eeclayton (14) A grieving character -- This trilogy will stay with me. I loved the third book, too. 4w

eeclayton (21) Written by a ghostwriter -- It's what the title promises: an intimate and brutally honest memoir with lots of life lessons, not the clichéd ones, but real thoughts that stem from real struggles. He doesn't shy away from recounting his bad decisions and taking responsibility. Great read. I also appreciate his afterword about the ghostwriter. 4w
Librarybelle Great choices for the prompts! 4w
TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! 4w
eeclayton @Librarybelle @TheAromaofBooks Thanks ☺️ I also love how I get to read titles I wouldn't have picked up if it wasn't for the challenge! 4w
Librarybelle Completely agree with that, @eeclayton ! 4w

1. I‘m not named for a person, but am named because of the curtains that my parents put in my room when I was born. They had blocks with the letters M,L,R, and Y. As our last name started with Y, they decided on Michael/Michelle or Robert/Roberta, and finally came up with the unisex Robin Lynn. 2. My older son is named after David Beckham, and my younger son is named after Kevin Keegan - Beckham and Keegan. #two4tuesday

TheSpineView Interesting story. Thanks for playing 1mo

Libro super. Consiglio di leggerlo. Ti fa entrare nella testa di un professionista. Capire che le cose non sono scontate e si raggiungono sono con tanto impegno e mai senza difficoltà. Molto bello. Interessante, piacevole, scorrevole. Consigliato

While the subject was to be the relationship between Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali, this book encompassed the trials and triumphs of many Black musicians, celebrities, and athletes. It isn‘t hard to determine the Author‘s blind spots but he encouraged the charisma of Muhammad Ali to shine through his prose. A much more complex look at the sixties than I had expected. #Nonfictionovember

This book poses the question of whether or not we will ever see a marathon run in two hours or less. It was published in 2015. In 2019, Eliud Kipchoge became the first to do so with a time of 1:59:40. But even if this milestone has already been reached, this book is still interesting and worth reading.
