Pickpick

Yes, every translated sentence! Perhaps the best thing about being so woefully behind the curve in reading this incredible story is having its sequel readily available.

I just complained about too many characters that had to be pulled together in a previous book. This time, I was instantly interested in every character introduced knowing each would make the book richer.

Butterflyamore I found Us Against You at a library sale last weekend but don‘t even have Beartown yet. But I couldn‘t very well leave the other one behind, right? Haha 22h
marleed @Butterflyamore Oh lucky you and now your hunt is on! I‘m excited to continue with Us against you. I‘ll read a few other books first just to give myself the sequel anticipation! 22h
AmyK1 I found Us Against You at BAM really cheap a couple weeks ago. Need to buy Beartown so I can read them both 👍🏼 20h

bookaholic1 I'm still not done reading it, but I'm loving each and every character, this may known as a hockey book, but it's more deeply than that, didn't you think so?? 20h
bookaholic1 @marleed I do the same thing, as far as reading a few inbetween 20h
marleed @bookaholic1 oh definitely more than hockey. It‘s as if hockey is one of the characters but not the MC. 19h
bookaholic1 @marleed yes I agree 19h

I burst out laughing when I read this...
"Have you got hair on your balls yet? Or do you still cry in the shower when you realize it's just fluff in your underpants?"

marleed I read that line an hour ago and laughed knowing you had called it out! 2d
bookaholic1 @marleed such a cute quote right?? 2d

Love Jim Craig‘s introduction—“Herb Brooks, God rest his soul, wasn‘t coaching a Dream Team. He was coaching a team full of dreamers.”

.
“...the president is sitting at his desk eating a sandwich the way a German Shepherd would trying eat a balloon filled with mayonnaise.” Not sure this is what the author intended, but I couldn‘t help but think of Chris Farley.

I got to work early this morning. It's been too long since I've time to hide in my quiet place around the side of the building with my coffee and my book. There was a nasty note in the kitchen from my night shift about my new day shift but I gave myself time to ignore it and read. #currentlyreading
