Another #LibraryThing #EarlyReviewer book arrived yesterday. I‘m always kind of wary of books and videos that purport to teach singing technique, but the author here has excellent credentials. I‘m keeping an open mind.

My NetGalley Shelf! I also just got word that I'm getting a physical #arc of “High Fire“ by Eoin Colfer from LibraryThing Early Reviewers. #toread #tbr #Netgalley #Librarything #EarlyReviewers

mommyincolor Question: How do you get physical copies? Happy reading!!! 7d
jillrhudy @mommyincolor I request them through LibraryThing Early Reviewers and sometimes get lucky! 7d

Pickpick

This is a nice collection of personal essays by women who have chosen to do freelance work. What I liked most about it is that the women shared, in their own (seemingly only lightly edited) words, a variety of reasons and rationales for working outside the traditional 9-to-5. And the writers are from all over the world, so the big differences in cultural context for women working in much the same online workspaces were highlighted.

Christine Thanks to #librarything #earlyreviewers for the ARC. 🙂 1w

So excited to finally start this one. I had given up hope on it actually arriving, but bring on the nightmares, people! I‘m ready! (Please be good. Please be good.) #Bailey is uninterested, of course.

Book Mail! Received this ARC this week, from LibraryThing‘s Early Reviewers August list. At least I think August 🤔 I have one other nonfiction ARC to read first. I love folktales of all kinds, so I expect this will be a good read! #folktales #earlyreviewers #librarything #ARC

Pickpick

Although probably not my favorite Gilly MacMillan novel, this one was decent and kind of creepy/evil. Is the Nanny who she says she is, or is she not? Several unlikeable main characters and the ending was a bit far fetched, but the story did keep me guessing.

Not the tagged book but by the same editor.
A collection of stories about fairies using each letter of the alphabet.

This was an interesting anthology, some of the stories were really good, others were too short to really understand the story properly. I loved the alphabet link to the stories. I enjoyed trying to guess what the word might be. My favourite story was G is for Gentry.

Realized I could make something of a #SeptemberTBR bingo board with a screenshot of my #LibraryThing catalog 😁

My possible reads for September. As usual, most of these are for challenges at #LibraryThing.
