Despite being busy with friends & family I had a full reading week 😌Mostly hits but a few were a little disappointing ( Pineapple, Black Cake, Adult Assembly ) Jury is still out on Questions but I really LIKED Hello Beautiful, Love Pamela, Paris Wife, Children of Paradise (from the Women‘s Prize long-list)😍 I enjoyed the Steinbeck and hope to get to Grapes for #AAM
marleed In 2018, I traveled with a bff, to Galveston as she prepped for her son‘s wedding at the end of that week. I‘d snatch moments alone so the family could be together. I spent it walking the downtown and the Long Beach front - The whole time listening to The Paris Wife (before realizing I could up the speed up Libby). I see that cover and I‘m on the Galveston beach dreaming of being an ex-pat in Paris! 13mo
