Some of the things in this book can be offensive but that may be because it is outdated. I wouldn‘t use it in my classroom for this reason but other than that it would be an opportunity for learning about colors!

This poetry book is all about the colors on the spectrum! This book is a great opportunity to get children thinking about the world around them and relating colors to the things they see everyday. The illustrations really help depict the colors bring described. Each poem is centered around a particular color, and listed in each are possible things that are that color!

“We will still change color wherever we go, but you and I will always be alike“

I would use this in my classroom because of the colors of the book and because the students would be engaged with the cameleons.

This book is about a chameleon that is trying to find his color. The pictures are very colorful and bright and would hold the interest of a child. The content in this book is age-appropriate because it educates young children about the different colors of animals.
