Not as good as Bride but still a fun read. Took a while to finish, with my cruise starting tomorrow and my mother in law breaking her hip this past Tuesday…she‘s successfully recovering now.

This was a fun read! Not very serious for sure, but a good time. Serena is an appealing heroine, and it‘s entertaining to watch her grow into her new self and find a solid place in the world. I enjoyed Koen, and a little more of him might have been nice. Ali Hazelwood has an engaging way of writing, and this supernatural romance definitely meets the brief. A little mystery added to the plot, with a wisp of danger and a nice smackerel of spice.👌🏻

While it is wild and very fantastic I find this dark world interesting and I blew though this second book. I always love a dark and moody hero-make him a werewolf and it‘s twice the fun!

There goes my day! I shirked all responsibilities today in favour of inhaling this, as one does. Not unhappy with my life choices. Tomorrow will bring enough adulting.

My October is not a spooky reading month apparently. So far I've only read romances. And I'm starting another one. I'm reading Ali Hazelwood's newest, Mate. The Aardvark Book Club edition has a green ombre hardcover. So pretty!

4.5⭐
I enjoyed this more than Bride, and I think that maybe I went into Bride with an attitude that I wasn‘t going to like it, but I ended up doing so, anyway. For Mate, I went into it knowing what I was getting, and I think I let myself enjoy it more. Ali Hazelwood can write some angst…angst that even my cold, dead heart felt. I have to give her props for that. Not going to lie, though; the knotting thing still freaks me out.⬇️⬇️⬇️

Another preorder arrived! I really liked Bride so I‘m excited for this one!

Book mail just came, I haven't read Bride yet. Those who have, what did you think? Its on my TBR, thanks in advance

Well it took almost two hours, but I was finally able to get into the Aardvark app and pick my October books. I really wanted Mate. The new KJ Charles looks good too.
