Good little mystery where Sherlock Holmes is actually a woman.

Thank you for picking this for the #LMPBC @MaleficentBookDragon ! I‘ve never read any of the original Sherlock Holmes books but this has inspired me to do so.

The story is set in the midst of WWI, with the aging Sherlock and Dr. Watson coming out of retirement to help solve a case for Mycroft Holmes. A well-done story that I thoroughly enjoyed. 4⭐️

I got to see this neat #Sherlock exhibit at the South Carolina State Museum. This copy is an original 1st edition!

I love this series, but this book seemed like a filler book, setting up for the next. This could have been condensed to a novella. Hopefully for the next one!

Panic70 I wasn‘t in love with this one either. And I thought I remembered liking the first couple more. Good perspective. I‘ll make sure I try reading the next one instead of giving up on the series. 4w
Crewgurl @Panic70 I feel like the next one will be good! It‘s all set up 😊 coming out in September! Aka forever. 4w

Ready for the next book! Love the Lady Sherlock series. This one had several subplots going and Thomas juggled them all well.

I so love reading the Lady Sherlock series. Sherry captures some of Sherlock Holmes most engaging and interesting character traits in her Lady. This story has Lady Sherlock and company assisting an Indian Maharini with some old secrets and the plot twists never stop, but no worries! Lady Sherlock's deductive skills are more than up to the task. There's still a wonderful tension between Lord Ingram and Lady Sherlock. Next book, please!

ErinSueMreads Sherry Thomas is super duper nice too! 1mo

I love the idea of a #WeeklyForecast! I hope it helps me organise my reading life a little more.

Audiobooks this week:
A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway and The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown.

Print/Ebooks
I am almost done with For Better, For Worse by Caryl Rivers and The Art of Theft by Sherry Thomas.

Today I picked up Ongoingness, The Last Templar, Midnight Chicken and The Moveable Toystore.

I brought this over 4/5 years ago on a trip to Paris. It has since been sitting on my bookshelf. Guess it is time to crack this book open. This is the first book outside the Alex Rider series I have read.

Please aviod #Dracula (2020) from the #BBC as it ribs the original source material to shreds .
As a fan of their modern #Sherlock adaptation , as the tv show takes many known & unknown elements from the Sherlock stories but this tv adaptation of Dracula fails to impress this fan of all things vampire. Warning : Mark Gatiss imposes himself into the cast . I try to meet him in person but he would only meet VIP/ Platinum guests at the conversation 😑

rwmg I've only seen the first two parts but I really enjoyed it. Dracula and Sister Agatha's interactions were great fun 2mo
Catherine_Willoughby E3 wasn't really thought out . I wasn't fond of the ending. IMO Dracula 2000 was more scary than this installment . I do have a soft stop for that movie due to my Roleplaying days . 2mo
