Easter half term has officially started, so we plan to spend the evening with our current read.

I've started listening to music that links to my current read. Does anybody else do this? Or do you have certain reading tracks/album?

Here it is, @TrishB . Someone before me loved it so much that they had to do a bit of repair work with tape. 😆😆

LeahBergen @Reviewsbylola You‘ll have to read some of her more magically-themed ones with your girls. 👍🏻 2mo
LeahBergen @charl08 I know! Both this series and the St. Clare‘s series were started in the 1940s. 😮 2mo

For the #schoolsout prompt, I decided to see the summer reading requirements for my district. This was Honors English 10 for last summer. It was the only list that wasn‘t a. A long list of books to choose from or b. Free reign, wherein the student gets to choose any book.

Summer reading lists always fascinate me, and I like it when there are at least some parameters set. A list is even better! #marchintothe70s

Cinfhen Well played!!! I always LOVED the required summer reading lists!!! My kids obviously HATED IT but I would head over to Border‘s with such determination and purpose!!! I was armed with that list and I was unstoppable 😁 of course, I‘d read every book and my kids read zero😂 2mo

“...and all the summer world was bright and fresh, and brimming with life. There was a song in every heart; and if the heart was young the music issued at the lips. There was cheer in every face and a spring in every step. The locust-trees were in bloom and the fragrance of the blossoms filled the air.”

#MarchIntoThe70s #Day29 #SchoolsOut Alice Cooper always fascinated me,his showmanship & persona combined with a girls name gave him a “I‘ll be who I damn well please” aura which I totally was onboard with. This book, set in the 80s not the 70s,also has a touch of that vibe, about two friends in junior year at school. After a night of LSD,one disappears before turning up next day acting strange. By the end of the year Abby is convinced she‘s possessed.

Cinfhen Such a FUN book!! I loved the endpapers in the hard cover edition 2mo
