Andrew65 You‘re doing so brilliantly 👏👏👏🙌 4y
LibrarylandLisa what is #bookspin? I keep seeing it on people's posts
4y
hes7 @LibrarylandLisa It‘s a monthly challenge hosted by @TheAromaofBooks. Anyone who wants to participate makes a list of twenty books to read that month, and on the 2nd, Sarah draws numbers to see which books should be prioritized. 4y
TheAromaofBooks @LibrarylandLisa - Anyone is welcome to join!! I draw the numbers (usually only 2; this month is a special event haha) on the 2nd of every month, so most people make their list of 20 books sometime the week before that. In a normal month, I only draw 2 numbers & people try to read just those two books. Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to be added to the tag list!! (Also more details on a few of my older posts!!) 4y

This was a bit of a hot mess. I‘ve heard it described as the feminist version of Lord of the Flies. Confession: I am not a fan of Lord of the Flies, but I was compelled to read this. A dystopian-type novel with an infectious disease and an ending that didn‘t quite grab me, this for me could have been much better potential. This is a book on survival and how far someone will go for personal survival. Also, a book on friendship and blossoming love.

Librarybelle Because of the growing love relationship between some of the characters, I‘m using this for #SAGAApproved for #TeenAngst #BBRC @LibrarianRyan @StayCurious 4y
LibrarianRyan Yeah. Wish you liked it more. I have a copy somewhere. 4y
Librarybelle @LibrarianRyan Dystopian is not a favorite genre of mine, so I‘m sure that factored into my thoughts on this. 4y

StayCurious Good review! 4y
ferskner This didn't really do it for me either. Something was just off about it, and the ending was a mess. 4y

What a cute graphic novel about queer boys who love to bake! Read it with a yummy pastry because it‘ll definitely leave you with cravings. 🥖🥐🍞

Publisher First Second has been putting out some excellent LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 content, and Bloom is no exception.

Yes, Ari can be teen angsty and whiny at times, but I can really empathize with his situation. From an immigrant Greek family that can‘t afford to send him to college, Ari struggles to find his way post-high school graduation.

A sweet, slow-burn summer romance set in a MD 🏖 town that I highly recommend! Plus ALL the baked goods! 🧁🥖

LibrarianRyan The oddest thing, I got a notice on my phone that you posted this, but when I opened the app it does not show it, or on the desk top either in my activity list. @Litsy you might want to look into this blip. 4y
alisiakae @LibrarianRyan Hmm, that‘s weird. The Whole post, or just my comment with hashtags? The comment disappeared when I first posted it, but now I can see it again. 4y
LibrarianRyan @4thhouseontheleft Not exactly sure. I saw you post as I was scrolling, but when I received the block notification on my phone, I didn't open it right away and when I logged it in wasn't there. It still isn't there, but the most recent tag is. 4y
Cinfhen Weird stuff is happening on Litsy🤨I‘m showing in my notifications comments but when I go to the posts im actually not tagged @LibrarianRyan 🤷🏼‍♀️ 4y

Posting a book that gave me all the emotions @ljuliel

Read this one earlier this year for #lmpbc and I felt all the things! Happy, sad, and everything in between. Written for middle graders, it‘s an epistolary novel that follows the friendship developing between two girls whose gay dads start dating and decide to send them to summer camp together. I laughed and I cried so hard... it is undoubtedly a must read for all ages. ❤️😭😍

ljuliel That sounds like such a neat idea for a book. I‘m glad you enjoyed it so much. 4y
GlassAsDiamonds Ooohhh...!! I need a diverse MiddleGrade for Booked. Would this work do you think? 4y
Bookzombie This sounds so good. Stacked! 4y
MeganAnn @GlassAsDiamonds I think this could work for that prompt. Another one for that prompt my son and I read together and really enjoyed was 4y
LibrarianRyan @GlassAsDiamonds Very much so. It also works for #SAGAapproved, and if you have a child who has to read a novel of letters then this does it (I can not spell that word today so I didn't even try.) 4y

3.5 🌟
This sequel introduces new characters Becca and Steff. Steff thinks that Becca‘s mother was Molly Mauler. They do this by joining a new production called Who wants to be a Paniac? The story is predictable the entire way through.
Overall I enjoyed this read, but I didn‘t love it like I did the first one. I will still recommend book 1 to loads of people, but book 2 not so much.

Some cute parts to this queer romance, but not a fan of all the cheating going on. Also, didn‘t quite understand some of the secondary characters-not well developed at all. BUT it is a queer romance between bi boy and a deaf boy, and the love story has nothing to do with that. They just are who they are and I really liked that. #bbrc #teenangst #sagaapproved #readmyowndamnbooks
