4 ⭐I remember when the first don‘t push the button came out. I was reading it with my three-year-old nephew on my iPad, so when he pushed the button the page would change and things would magically happen. The push the button books are about the only time I have found this style of book that can live up to Press Here. this short sweet, very interactive book will be loved by children whether read as a go to bed book or read and story time.
The plot stretcheth on! There were some promising moments in this one, got very close to a major point in the arc, and certainly a decent cliffhanger. I shouldn't be surprised at this point that Blabey can keep it going. Good news: I only have one more book until I'm caught up with the publication schedule of the series so I'll get a break to reassess whether I care enough to continue either way. 🤷🏼♂️
My #Booked2023 #Monster book: a retelling of one of the English language epics, (although I learned that it wasn‘t set in England) from the perspective of the “monster,” instead of the human heroes. Mostly well written and intriguing (sometimes confusing), although it‘s been 34 years since I read Beowulf, and I‘m not going back to it! Good exploration of the pain and isolation that Grendel, who doesn‘t fit into the surrounding culture experiences.
One of my favorite gothic horrors received in the mail today, Folio Society‘s version of Frankenstein purchased as a late Christmas gift from my wife! This will have permanent home in my collection. ❤️
I was today years old when I realized what this metal badge means. 🤦🏻♀️😂
I came across my childhood metal badge collection a few weeks ago and was showing it to my brother tonight; this one fell out of the box and I commented that I‘d always thought it was kind of dumb. I mean, why does it say OK! like that? He said—“Well, it‘s what‘s at the end of ‘a book…‘” Yes. Yes, it is. 🤦🏻♀️
Bought this in Ireland some years ago

When the nightmare in your closet tears his head, comfort him and put him to bed! A great story for any kid (or adult) that is afraid of the dark. ❤️ #scarathlonphotochallenge #nightmare #blackcatcrew
