#DearDecember Day 24: I have #MixedEmotions as I read this award-winning novel: too many loose ends, credibility of the entire plot is suspect, with a slipshod manner of tightening threads that seem to go every which way. Very different from all the books by Atwood I have ever read. Pink moscato (sparkling champagne) as I relax with family in Cali - complete with pistachios and queso de bola.

I know this is fantasy, and I know this is young adult. This gives the author free reign to create a fictional world and incredibly unique characters. But, honestly, some sections of this book read like someone having fun stringing words together. There is a story. There is a world. And there is substance. But some of it is just a little too much. Anyone else feel this way? #whatdidIjustread #newdimension #fantasy #mixedemotions 🤔😱

so-so

I had #mixedemotions about this overly long #horror (or more like #darkfantasy) novel. I loved the overall concept but it seemed over the top at times, perhaps because of the political points they wanted to make. This wasn‘t my favorite King story and I‘m not sure I actually liked anyone who lived at the end 😑

Bostonmomx2 Lmaoo I was annoyed at my husband the other night and texted a friend and said can we just get rid of men and robots around for the gross stuff like taking out the trash and picking up dog poop. I mean we don‘t even need them anymore to reproduce 😂😂 6y
