If I could describe this title... at the moment... in five words, they would be: twisted religious beliefs, blood atonement.

Christine Oh wow - I feel like I have watched several Dateline episodes about these two. 7mo
Librariana @Christine - And I can't say I've watched a single one, but there was quite a bit of news coverage about them here in the PNW at the time of the children's presumed disappearance. The author is going more in depth into the history of LDS at this spot in the book... its fringe groups and some of their more anti-government ideologies... how those have sometimes influenced and are connected to past crimes in the US like Manson, McVeigh, etc. 7mo
Christine That‘s definitely the most interesting part of the story to me - sounds like this book is going well beyond the sensationalist aspects (there are so many to choose from!). 7mo

3.5 ⭐️ yay! One more off of my TBR list. It‘s always interesting to read books set in your home state and seeing familiar places and locations mentioned. #localauthor #alabamathebeautifil

This morning I subbed for gym class during my prep. I read a minute or row during change out. This is an awesome read about a young man growing up in Anchorage after moving from a Kenai cabin due to his father‘s sudden death. Autobiographical with descriptions that really capture Alaska in the 60‘s. Also I‘m biased since he was our neighbor growing up, and @Kimberlone had him as a teacher. #ya #alaska #localauthor #teachersoflitsy

Saknicole Also featuring my Battle of the Books Book marks that I laminated this year… or rather @Tamrawear laminated for me! #battleofthebooks 2y
Kimberlone Yay! I want to read still 2y

I just learned that a favorite #coloradoauthor of mine (Carol Berg) has a pen name she also writes under! Very exciting for me because it means I have even more books of hers to read! This is incredibly exciting news! #colorado #localauthor

I am destined to read this book. First @Rissreads messaged me about it, telling me someone in her book club went to school with the author. Then I went on holiday with another friend who happened to be reading it. She told me she went to school with Imbi!

Then last night at my book club another friend chose it for us to read this month, and that friend happens to currently send her child to that very same high school. #serendipity #localauthor
