💙 I'm a small town gal. Grew up in a small college town in Illinois, then left to go to college in a different small college town in Michigan, and have been a Michigander ever since.
💙Anatomy of a Murder is set in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where I reside, and the film was shot in the UP, too. (Highly recommend both)
💙Adding a bonus book: The Overstory by Richard Powers. He was born and raised in my hometown in Illinois.
pickAnother great book by Grisham. I really like Jake and the story was fantastic. Not a short book (are any of Grisham‘s short?), but I wanted to keep reading to see what surprises might happen next. Black woman Portia is working for Jake and planning to head to law school; she‘s another secondary character I really like. I do hope the series continues.

Another one that's a good book and movie.
pickAwesome book. I loved the pacing and short chapters, as it was easy to read a few in between a busy day. I definitely want to check out some more of Grisham‘s work
pickA woman was kidnapped and tortured but finally escaped; 2 others were abducted but ended up dead. If you like courtroom/ lawyer drama and twisty mystery, this is for you. Well written ❣️But I believe it‘s a new series I‘ve begun…
