Cute and funny collection of science related comics. I generally like Tom Gauld‘s humor (tho some of his collections have been hit or miss) - and this one doesn‘t disappoint. 😸

Another fun collection of science cartoons by Tom Gauld. Many of these have been published in New Scientist, so if you subscribe to that, you may recognize a few, but what a fun way to revisit them. I like Gauld‘s science cartoons almost more than his literature cartoons. He‘s particularly skilled at telling jokes with image legends, and he isn‘t afraid to lean into very silly concepts. Highly recommended if you like science and absurdity.

I read this book because I needed "Turtleneck" prompt for #ISpyBingoDec. I laughed a lot while reading it. There are lots of quotes from authors at the beginning of each chapter. This book is for 40 years old and up. Gave me more bingo spots January and a couple on the special editions #SomePeopleSay #AllAboutBooks @TheAromaofBooks @OriginalCyn620 #Read2026 @DieAReader

I'm on #storygraph and have been for a few years. I usually only use it for challenge updates and end of year graphs, but I'd love to keep up with any of y'all on there too. Different username, but my Litsy handle is in my bio. And maybe the link below will work too!

One of today‘s library picks — looking forward to it!

I just started using STORYGRAPH last year.
I haven‘t used it as a social platform, but maybe I should!
Here‘s my handle. 🦋📕🦋

I was just talking with a friend about how hard it is to find people I know on StoryGraph… I literally had NINE friends on my SG list: a couple IRL friends and a handful of Littens. So I‘m loving how many Littens are sharing their StoryGraph names here at the start of the year! Here‘s mine… feel free to add me!

I read a Finnish fantasy, which was a BOTM in one group where we read fantasy & sci-fi. I had this book already in my TBR so this was a perfect excuse to read it.
This book made me even laugh, even though I thought this would be even more hilarious. Nevertheless this was fun to read.
I have the second book in my TBR and I am definitely going to read it too.
Fabrice was a natural comic, but the kind who'd had the good sense not to ruin his life by trying to become a comedian.
Most meat-eaters console themselves with the fact that they're consuming a creature that they wouldn't recognize. I wonder what percentage of us would be vegetarians if we had to kill and eat the very animal that we'd been feeding and nurturing for months.
