February catchup review 2:
This one was been on my shelf for a few years now and I‘m so glad I finally got around to it. It ended being one of my favorites this month and might even make it on the year end list I loved it so much.

It takes place during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic and follows the Bright family as the lose loved ones, take in an orphaned baby, and learn to navigate the aftermath of the pandemic. It‘s harrowing and hopeful… ⬇️

MeganAnn … there is loss and death, love and strength, and it promises that we too can continue on and even find happiness in the aftermath. I think this one was even more compelling having read it after our own pandemic experience. 5⭐️ Also love this beautiful cover! 💖 #pantone2023 #airyblue #skylight #graylilac @Clwojick 4w

This year I'm trying to branch out on my reading & this cover is really helping. Also the story is pretty hot as well. Good girl meets bad boy, both have troubled/horrible pasts & both need each other for a better future. Mostly it's about the cover though ❤️‍🔥

Taylor Jenkins Reid can form a compelling sentence and string them together to keep you reading. This is only the second book of hers I‘ve read and once I started I did want to go along on the journey. It was a pleasant read while keeping an eye on the Super Bowl.

Catching up on some reviews from this week‘s reading.

Finished this #littensloveromance read earlier and I really liked this one. Seems most of the group agrees from a few other reviews I‘ve seen posted so far. I will probably pick up the second book at some point.

Also, the light hitting those defined abs matches #graylilac #pantone2023 @Clwojick

A sweet, palate cleanser of a story. Predictable? Maybe, but in all the best calming and cozy ways. A loosely goosey Scottish hockey player and a buttoned up bridal designer and shop owner clash and parry (great dialogue!) and genuinely adore each other while fussing at each other. A total joy! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #JoyousJanuary @Andrew65 #Pantone2023 #GrayLilac @Clwojick

These 2 Nancy Drew stories were a lovely way to revisit my childhood, and such a sweet start to the reading year. I‘ve been adding to my collection, so I‘ll definitely be reading more Nancy Drew this year. I find them so relaxing! While there are details in some of the books that don‘t hold up, considering the original Grosset & Dunlap series was written from 1930-1979 they‘re remarkably few. #Pantone2023 #GrayLilac @Clwojick

TheBookHippie I have one on the list this year for children‘s classic read, I‘ve never read her👀.. 2mo
IndoorDame @TheBookHippie ooh a first read sounds so fun! These are so nostalgic for me I don‘t really know what I‘d think of them as an adult looking at them with fresh eyes, so I‘m excited to see what you think. 2mo
TheBookHippie @IndoorDame 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel the same. I can‘t wait to find out! 2mo

IndoorDame @dabbe I love all the die hard fans of those series I‘ve been discovering on here lately! That must have been the age when we all became confirmed readers ❤️🕵️📚 2mo
dabbe @IndoorDame Agreed! That's when my love of detective fiction began, too! 2mo
