The Stolen Hours | Allen Eskens

A fast paced and exciting crime fiction novel with a smart and strong female lead. I lived that Eskens gave Lila the spotlight in this one! Part legal drama, part hunt for a killer, this was riveting!
I love that his books aren‘t a series….but they overlap each other! I highly recommend all of his books!

Bk19 of 2021 is done! A true crime about the disappearance of 18yr old Trudie Adams from the Northern Beaches of Sydney in 1978,it was hugely upsetting but very well written & researched. The fact that neither her body or her killer has ever been found is a massive indictment of the police, especially considering the numerous other rapes & abductions in the surrounding years. #Booked2021 #ContainsPhotos #NonFiction2021 #AboutThePast #BookspinBingo👇

Riveted_Reader_Melissa It sounds very good, I usually can‘t read the true life crime books...but this one sounds good. 3y
Cinfhen #stacked I haven‘t read a “good” true crime in awhile 3y

Lizpixie @Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Cinfhen @TheAromaofBooks @BarbaraTheBibliophage I highly recommend it. There‘s also the podcast by the authors called Unravel & the 3 part documentary which is on abc iview(though it‘s an Australian site it may work with a VPN like Surfshark or similar) 3y

I love this whole series but especially A Study in Charlotte. Charlotte and Jamie make a great team and they deal with real world problems like drug addiction and sexual assault. It‘s not all about solving the mystery but also solving problems teens face everyday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

LOVED. THIS. BOOK!

I listened to this on audio and loved it. I was a bit hesitant about listening to it because of the footnotes but they‘re narrated seamlessly into the book and add greatly to the story!

Ddzmini Loved this book can‘t wait for the last one 📖😋 5y
GondorGirl The only trouble with the audiobook is if you're pr in public when the sex scenes start! 😳😳😳 5y

I am in love with this book!!!! I loved the way it ended. I get so tired of sappy love stories some times and this all just fell together perfectly and now I will never see the red queen the same again! Off with their heads!!!! 5 star read for sure! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

xxjenadanxx I enjoyed it but mourned for what might have been! You should check out Sea Witch, it‘s a backstory for who we would call “Ursula” and it is SO GOOD. 5y
Sweetdgabe87 @xxjenadanxx it is on my tbr!!! I want to read all of the Disney character ones they have!!! 5y
xxjenadanxx @Sweetdgabe87 I do too! I‘m a *huge* Disney fan! But I‘m not talking about the one with Ursula on the cover, just FYI, this one is by Sarah Henning. 5y
Sweetdgabe87 @xxjenadanxx ooooohhhhh I‘ll definitely have to find that one! Thanks! 🤗 5y

Today's #booklook for Dragonsong by Audrey Rose B. uses tones of pink and purple to match the cover art! Since Dragonsong is an ebook exclusive I don't have a copy to pose with, but I do have a dragon friend!

This was my only read in January for two reasons:

1. I‘m terrible at reading more than one book at a time.
2. I DIDN‘T WANT IT TO END!

I loved this book! I loved the idea of it, I loved the writing and how it sucked me in, and I especially loved the richness of the characters. The characters in a story and my ability to relate to them really makes or breaks a book for me. This book delivered in that department! #fivestarread
