Found this bookmark in an old book. It is from a now defunct book chain- Borders. Remember that one @Cinfhen ? Although the famous Ed Sullivan appearance wasn‘t until early 1964, their music, already very popular in the U.K., was introduced to the US airwaves in 1963. On Dec. 4,1963, Capital Records released “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. #winterwonderland #december1963

A group of 8 college friends meet up a week after graduation to celebrate the wedding of one of their own. The Group then follows their lives as they each forge their own version of adulthood.

This was on my TBR for awhile because it sounds like something I would love. Then I removed it because the Litsy reviews were mediocre. Now after seeing that it was the top book for The NY Times list for #december1963, I‘m stacking. #winterwonderland

Ruthiella I found this book fascinating! It‘s a little gossipy/soap opera like but also a look at gendered expectations and limitations placed on upper middle class white women in the mid 20th century. 😀 5y

Valli asked “Parker to reposition the song as a nostalgic remembrance of a young man's first affair with a woman, and, more specifically, Gaudio's courtship with his wife, Judy Parker.
So...I kinda jumped ahead a day... 🤣🤣 this is favourite romance of 2016. A really lovely modern courtship.
