I‘m savoring AGoT while knowing heartache lays ahead. This is my third time reading it. And IT is starting to pick up a bit for me as King continues to lay out the relationship among this group of young friends. IT is quite creepy. And dark. I‘m glad I‘m reading something else along with it.

4 out of 5 murder clowns for “Clown in a Cornfield”! 🤡🤡🤡🤡

I wanted a fun cheesy horror novel, and that‘s exactly what I got. Creepy atmosphere, amusing characters, and enough twists to surprise me even when I thought I figured it all out.

The story is not the deepest and the attempts at social commentary are a little too clunky to be taken seriously, but even if the story itself won‘t stick with me afterwards, the fun I had reading it will!

The woman known online as Red Nose Trixie was still screaming as Quinn let the the door swing closed.
There were a lot of names on her list, and Quinn wanted to be out of Maryland before dusk.

Clown In A Cornfield 2 opens a year after the events of the first book with the survivors dealing with loss, life change but also harassment due to a viral conspiracy documentary about the events of the first book. I can't say too much about this one without spoiling book 1, so I will say that I went into this expecting more of the same of book 1 & was pleasantly surprised to find a different take. Def more political, but with the slasher (CONT)

Not the first line, but this line made me chuckle: ... that pretender, that profiteer, that carpetbagging new-money Branson scum.

Ho voluto rileggere It in lingua originale anni dopo averlo letto in italiano e sono rimasta scioccata da quanti aspetti orribili di questo libro avevo dimenticato:
King crea sì un gruppo diverso di protagonisti, ma poi comunque esclude in maniera evidente Mike e Stan.
Una donna (e soprattutto una ragazza) ha molto più da offrire che il proprio corpo!
Unico aspetto positivo: scovare Dick Hallorann e Christine in questo libro.

Let‘s see if 2024 is the year I actually finish the books I start and read what I check out from the library. If I finish this one, I‘ll be doing both!
