This was a rather lighthearted look at cults and specifically the language and tactics they use to attract followers and more importantly, convince them to remain in a cult. My issue is I wanted more….specifically about cults! A large portion of the book is spent examining other cult-like groups to include multi-level-marketing companies and fitness programs. It was fun, but I would have preferred a more detailed exploration on this subject.

Ugh, I really need to start Googling a book before I read it to see if it‘s character driven. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Nothing much happens here as it‘s about a dysfunctional family who travels to England for a wedding, and the focus is solely on those relationships. But I do wonder if the Prime adaptation is better than the book? Every now and then that happens!

This one was so much better than the first book!

First off, I have to preface this review by saying I have seen the second season of the show, so I did know a lot of the plot points going into the book and obviously wasn‘t surprised by some of the things that happened.

This book was much more emotional than the first.

I was skeptical at first since this a genre I don't particularly enjoy. Boy, I was wrong!

I highly enjoyed this book. It was fun and heartwarming. I chuckled at the funny parts and teared up for the MC's love his wife. Who would have thought I would enjoy a military sci-fi book?

This is a low pick for me. I much prefer The Thursday Murder Club series and those wonderful characters. This was just forgettable to me but I will probably read book two. Maybe it will provide a stronger connection to the characters.

What a book! You have an estranged daughter, a dad losing his mind to Lewy body dementia, and if that's not enough, a cold case! Clark writes in a way that drags you into the book right beside her characters.
