This rather beat up library copy has a gorgeous cover, don't you think? I was trying to relax and read this earlier, and got to the part of the story where she's working in a barber shop in Washington. Yup. I encountered politics while trying to avoid politics. So I snuck a peak at election results in spite of myself ... I think I may very well sleep soundly to the sound of waves crashing on a beach tonight. 🌊💙🇱🇷 #bluewave

We were on pins and needles until we heard back from her. It‘s just so many kinds of horrible. And yet people still defend their right to carry guns. 🤬🤷🏼‍♀️🤬🤷🏼‍♀️ 5y

alisiakae My husband attended Tree of Life when we were at Pitt. I found out as I was walking out the door to volunteer at Early Voting yesterday. It was such a hard day, and now we‘re off to Hebrew School at our synagogue this morning. 😢😢😢 The amount of hatred and violence in America this week is horrific. 5y

I hold out hope that the legislators we elect this time will create more balance in Washington. But sometimes it just feels scary and hopeless. 5y

KTOHARA Actually, I cringed every time I saw that cover- library bk. Much as I cringe every time I hear the name Trumpasaurus & President in the same sentence! I really liked this bk–much more so than Russian Roulette which I just couldn‘t get through. I like the way Woodward writes– the consummate professional. I‘ve read All the President's Men & Wired ages ago. No one in T's office writes anything longer than 2 pages because he won‘t & can‘t read it!... 5y

The end of another chapter in our lives: @WanderingBookaneer and I said goodbye to our school in Puerto Rico yesterday, in a long day that culminated with the senior graduation and post-grad dinner. Lots of tears and bittersweet moments. Next up: moving to our new home in Bradenton, Florida at the end of the month.
