Cute read, nothing spectacular. Set in suburban Minneapolis, we follow the lives of several moms and their 7th graders as they navigate friendship, middle school, and normal family drama. Book #70 in 2021

I have wanted to listen to this book since it was recommended during #MiddleGradeMarch. It wasn‘t what I expected. It was better. It‘s the story of a young girl who comes to America from Syria with her Mother when things start to get dangerous. She tries to learn more English, make friends and find her strong self again. I hope ESL teachers get lots of respect, her ESL class was her safe space. #100YEARS100BOOKS #70! #BookSpinBingo #9 #NUTSinMAY

Book #70: Generally not into fantasy but checked this one out since it‘s gay, trans, and based on Mexican culture!

2020 #70 Oh my...I HATED the way the story jumped around. I understand the author‘s reason for constructing the timeline in this way but it frustrated me every single time she made the “time jump.” I will admit I struggled to finish the book, at times, but the story is compelling. I fell in love with Russian history when I visited St Petersburg so the subject matter and locations were of particular interest to me.

marleed I felt the same way! 1y

#70 of my year

Caffeinated_Reader Ugggh I can‘t get into this one 🙇🏻‍♀️ I like it it‘s just a slow read for me currently on page 90 it‘s giving me anxiety because I should be farther along 😫 2y
Caffeinated_Reader Wooops forgot a review
Okay so at first this was slowww it took me like 2 day‘s to read 90 pages lol but then that 3rd day I flew through it. I ended up really liking it a lot. I definitely want to read the rest of the series. It was hard getting the rhythm of the story and lingo down but then I just imagined

Caffeinated_Reader Harley Quinn the way she talks and boom I got it down so quick lol hey, whatever works right. The story was really interesting and had me feeling like I lived back in the early 1900‘s which is super cool. So yeah, I recommend 2y

#70 of my year. I‘m waiting for my Shadow & Bones trilogy to come in the mail tomorrow so decided to pick up this short book. Definitely looking forward to collecting more of his books🤓🥰

Caffeinated_Reader 4/5 ⭐️Crazy! It‘s amazing to read about all the excitement surrounding rare diagnosis from the 70s and 80s. It was mostly surprising the ages in which a lot of the disorders were onset. Very scary disorders. 3y
