Anna Karenina | Leo Tolstoy

Book #80: Being the only book on all 5 of my Greatest Books lists, I had high hopes for it. And to start off, I thought this was one of the most well written stories I have ever read. Tolstoy just flows with descriptions that make you feel you understand everything that is going on. The characters are extremely well developed and even though...

Friday afternoon read.

I keep reading volumes of poetry because I know that the key to understanding is exposure. I‘m sure I didn‘t grasp everything Morgan Parker is saying but what I did grasp made it worth the read.

Even her acknowledgments are beautiful and lyrical.

Magical Negro #80: Brooklyn literally took my breath away.

Before you tell me: the first volume is already on hold at the library.

Weaponxgirl Damnit! I was gonna ask how this compared to her first volume! 😁 6mo
BellaBookNook I need to try more too! I get frustrated when I know I‘m not getting it. (edited) 6mo
WhatDeeReads @Weaponxgirl I liked this volume much better than her second. I‘ve read them both now. 6mo

I love weird facts and random trivia and this book delivers. It‘s dense and a lot of info packed in but I enjoyed skimming through and picking out things of interest. I liked checking out the nominees for best music and seeing how many I knew. The very end includes a list of random factoids that was pretty cool. Also fills my #80 for #LitsyByTheNumbers.

Ruthiella I love books like this. Before google they were all I had to gain trivia pursuit winning knowledge!😀 9mo

Trying to end the year on a high note by completing my #LitsyByTheNumbers challenge. These will take care of #70 and #80. I‘m realistic though so odds are good I won‘t finish until early 2019. #NoPressure

2017 #80 fantasy audio I love the voice and the world that has been created. I need an illustrated version and maybe a coloring book, too. The plot and story line flow over me like I might care and it follows the same construct every time. They are just so well read.
