That cover looks so ominous. The audiobook version of this story is very good. I like having different voices for different characters. It adds so much to my understanding and compassion for them. This is a book I will be thinking about for days. I knew it was going to make me sad, but I had to read it anyway. The Author‘s Note at the end was especially interesting. #135 #BookSpinBingo #24 #BFC21 #BUZZWORDATHON Elements #NovelNovember

Karisa It made me cry, but I loved that book! 2y

2017 #135 fantasy audio I really enjoyed the characters and the world building. It was strangely annoying because it was so well written. The tension and frustration at the character's choices left me pausing, saying nsfw words, and being tempted to skip parts. Dealing with teenagers in real life is hard enough. Put them in book form and you at least get to walk away with them following.

I got to spend my first night of vacation finishing Broken Monsters. I get to start #135 for 2016 next!

respekt1111 Yay, I'm on vacation too! Have you read Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes? That's all I've read by her. 7y
Sweettartlaura @respekt1111 I have, & I loved it❤️. I liked it more than Broken Monsters, if I'm being honest. But I think that may be chalked up to Broken Monsters being her debut? (Not positive, but I think so.). So she definitely got better with the Shining Girls. Which makes me excited for whatever's next😊 7y
respekt1111 Awesome. I may check out Broken Monsters here soon😀👍 7y
Sweettartlaura @respekt1111 Let me know what you think when you do😊 7y
akfreeborn I enjoyed this one. It is creepy and raw-enjoy! 7y

Mehso-so

Great plot, so-so character development. Probably a twist or two too many. I've read better by David Bell.

On to #135 for 2016!

Correction: Someone I Used to Know got marked as Read earlier this year🤔 So Broken Monsters actually is 134.
