I stayed up past my bedtime, finishing this. Imaginative supernatural, with sarcasm and some gory bits. Reads like a love letter to Brooklyn, also.

Oh I loved this book so damn much. Kia and Reza and Carlos are just the best characters. I almost don't want to read the next one because I don't want it to end.

This universe is such a joy to return to. I enjoy these books more on paper (or ebook) than as audiobooks. I'll definitely pick up the last book in the series soon.

The only advantage I can find to the Martian Death Crud my coworker gave me is that I'm getting plenty of reading / #littenkitten cuddle time. Sadly only Zelda seems interested in cuddles, Zora has been seduced by the new cushion on the bookshelf directly in front of the furnace vent. I'm pretty sure that spot has overtaken even the heating pad in her affections. Such fickle creatures #catsoflitsy

For day 6 of #RiotGrams I have my current reads. One on audio, and two on paper. That's more or less the opposite ratio of what I usually have going.

Finished this on audio this morning with a minute to spare before I had to start class. I love this series - urban fantasy, #ownvoices, diverse characters....though if you object to swearing this one is definitely not for you. Satisfying sequel and I love Kia

This is the second book in the Bone Street Rumba series. The first book was great and this one was amazing. I really enjoy his writing and story telling. If you haven't read either of these I highly recommend them both. Cannot wait to read more from him!

Fantastic new entry in the series. Wonderfully diverse. Terrific characters. Amazingly bizarre plot. I loved every page of this contemporary fantasy.
