Been a busy week for my reading since Sunday started the last week of #Scarathlon2020. Finished 13 books, 16 if you include the short stories. Been so busy not found time to post reviews.

Altogether that is 240 points, but also finished two Halloween books for another 50 points. So 291 points but will be even more when I include the multiple points for Readathons.

Seem to have committed to a lot of buddy reads in September. 😳😱😂

#MaeveBinchyBuddyRead #BOTMBuddyRead

@EadieB and @Tove_Reads Unfortunately no capacity to take the Inspector Linley series forward in September, will have to do that in October. Same for the Susanna Gregory series if we are taking that series forward, still not finished the first one.

Tove_Reads No way you can skip Maeve! That‘s the one I want to read next, fine with the others! (edited) 5y
Tove_Reads When‘s the next Angela Marsons? 5y
Tove_Reads I feel like there is one book missing, but I might be wrong 5y
See All 12 Comments
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Maeve is on the list, hoping to pick it up from the library later this week. Not scheduled in the next Angela Marsons book yet, will discuss next one‘s date with the group on Librarything. If you remember what the other book is then let me know. (edited) 5y
Tove_Reads I might be wrong. Could be something I‘m supposed to read this month 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 @Tove_Reads I‘m giving up on the Thomas Chaloner series. I don‘t like Susanna Gregory‘s writing. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB I thought you‘d say that looking at your review. I‘ve stalled on 26% 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 That book was such a chore and rather boring! Maybe I‘ll try her Matthew Bartholomew series. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB I‘ve read a couple of the Matthew Bartholomew books - gave one 4 stars and the other 3 1/2 stars. Quite a few years ago but seem to remember them being pacier, lighter reading and enjoyable murder mysteries. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Yes the reviews were better for that series. 5y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks You can do it!!! 🙌🏻💚📚 5y

1. Farmer's market, a funeral 😢, hopefully just a quiet Sunday with a braai (barbecue) or something
2. Done
3. I'm pretty fond of Pretoria, where I live. Haven't travelled widely enough to know any world cities
4. Sloth
5. 25 celsius

Bklover When I was in 2nd grade (about a million years ago) we used to sing a song about Pretoria. I don‘t remember much about it except the Pretoria part. And you are the first person I‘ve met from there! I love Litsy! Enjoy your weekend!!💛💛 6y
Tanisha_A It's a dream to visit South Africa, especially for the safari. 😍 6y
MommyWantsToReadHerBook @Bklover that's really cool! Where do you live? I'm talking about Pretoria South Africa in case that wasn't clear 6y

Bklover I‘m in Illinois in the US. When we sang the song the teacher looked up Pretoria so we would know where it was. That‘s why I was so surprised to see someone who‘s really from there! (Yes, the South Africa one). It‘s funny that I remember the song- it was a long time ago! 6y
MommyWantsToReadHerBook @Bklover that's so weird, I can't for the life of me think what song it could be! 6y
Bklover @Centique THAT‘s IT!!!!!!!!! That is so cool that you found it!!! And thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️@MommyWantsToReadHerBook Mystery solved! (edited) 6y
MommyWantsToReadHerBook @Bklover @Centique that is so odd, I have no idea why schoolchildren in the US were taught a British imperial song 😊 But thanks for solving the mystery! 6y
Bklover After I heard it I thought it might be a song that would be offensive to you. And I have no idea either. 6y
MommyWantsToReadHerBook @Bklover not offensive as such but rooted in waaaay ancient history, the Anglo-Boer war of 1900-1902! So it was already pretty old and SA was already independent when kids were singing it, so weird 😊 6y

Well that's day one of the new POTUS done and things are pretty scary already.
Action plan: buy squasher-downer and use it to squash. Things. Down.

I have not been around a lot lately, Littens. Why? Lots of reasons. #1 is the fact that my current block is eating up all of my time and energy - delivering babies is a busy and drama-heavy special kind of hell that I can't wait to be out of on Monday. The second reason is that my drive to read has been just awful. Not just a time and energy problem, but motivation as well. And I'm frustrated. I don't know why my motivation is down...

stargazerblue49 I don't know if it's because this block has been stressful or because I've stopped taking my anxiety meds or because I never see the sunlight anymore, even when I do get to be outside during the daytime. All I know is that I am very emotionally, physically, and mentally tired, and that has stopped me from reading and being active here. I missed everyone and bonding over books. Here is a picture of my babies, being cute under the tree 🌲🌟❤️💚❤️🎄 7y
Notafraidofwords @stargazerblue49 I hope things get better for you. Life is challenging And I get it. I hope you find your drive soon. 7y

Many people don't know that I'm very heavily tattooed. I have to cover them all for work, so it's always fun to see a student in the wild. This is one from my book leg, which has been the hardest to fill because I have too many ideas and not enough space. #augustphotochallenge #day14 #uniquefact
