This just keeps getting better and better! We're brought right into the story from the previous volume. More backstory is revealed, and Erica continues to be a badass taking care of things.

And let me just say that the artwork in this series is phenomenal and tells a story all on its own.

AmandaBlaze I love his work! 6mo
ShyBookOwl I gotta get on this! Vol 1 has been on my TBR for too long 6mo

4.5 ⭐ Volume three marks the ending of this current fight. The monsters die but more questions still abound. Saint George sent a team to not help per se, more to take over and annihilate the town so no one can talk about the monsters. Erica slaughter is not going to let that happen. She is going to do the job she came to do in the way she means to do it. And Tommy is going to sacrifice himself so that the rest of the town can live.

LibrarianRyan But just like before this volume leaves more questions than answers. We‘ve seen Erica wear a black mask throughout the three volumes, and we know some people wear a white mask. Then we meet the dragon elder, who wears like the jaws of a snake or a dragon, which would make sense as a hinged mask rather than a bandanna. Plus, he talks about the order in the various houses and how they live or die and who won will not let that happen. Plus, I still 1y
LibrarianRyan don‘t know what the stuffed animals are about. I want more information so I must move to book four. 1y

4/5

Vol 3 wraps up the first story line. There are some deeply sad moments, but it wrapped up as well as the situation could be wrapped up.

Organization Erica is part of is still shrouded in mystery-they make my blood boil, especially when they insulted The House of Slaughter. I'll be on the look out for the recent issues for the series #horror #graphicnovels

My library & none of my local bookstores had this in stock, so I ordered it as soon as I finished volume 2. This concludes the beginning story arc & it was immensely satisfying. The best ongoing horror graphic novel series IMO. It's like a rated R version of Supernatural.

Very cool horror graphic novel series. Volume three has a solid ending, so it'll be interesting so see where the story goes. My favorite aspect is that the stupid decisions made are made out of desperation, exhaustion, or inexperience, not just because it lets the story happen. Certainly a property ripe for adaption to another medium.

What a great conclusion to this particular monster hunting story. Can‘t wait for volume 4 to come out in January so I can see where Erica finds herself next. #Scarathlon2021 #TeamHendrix #Screamathon2021 #Spookoweenreadathon #Wickedathon #BFC2021 #BookSpinBingo +76 pts

Just now getting around to leaving some reviews.

James Tynion is a must-read for me. This series is darker than most, I‘ll you. Collection V3 (issues 11-15) is the end of the Archer‘s Peak story, with some questions answered about who, what and why of The House of Slaughter.

I really can‘t recommended “Something Is Killing the Children” highly enough.

eri.reads I've been eyeing these at my library. Definitely going to pick them up! 😁 3y
LazyOwl Love this series. I'm waiting on V3 library hold to come in. 3y
Soscha Yes, I know he‘s evil but I love Octo. 🐙 3y
