What a Monday! My Jeep wouldn‘t start this morning at dark o‘clock when I had to go to work. Luckily hubs is still on vaycay so he could take me but the whole thing flustered me so badly, I left my phone at home. Work was crazy as usual so I didn‘t miss it too much but my 100% charged kindle was down to 1% by the time I got home and I didn‘t even use it! 😱 time for some #24b42020! @Andrew65

Andrew65 Sounds a disaster of a day, time to relax put your feet up and lose yourself and the day‘s troubles in a book. Let‘s hope tomorrow is better! 🤞 (edited) 4y

Some peppermint tea and a little #24b42020 while I wait for my workout group to join me on our zoom call. I think they‘re all doing cardio today but I‘m thinking yoga.

Mehso-so

Only reason this is so-so and not pan is this is not the end of the series. The mother makes me furious. This sounds like any other “what hellscape you‘ll be dragged through” warning if someone tries illegal drugs without anything interesting or nuanced to say about it. So, I‘m finishing the series and I‘m willing to call it second book syndrome for now. So many TW. Just, all of them.

KristinaRay I just read some background in these books and the author. I‘m just flabbergasted. I mean did she really think making her daughters hell public in this way would help her? Uh, I‘m too irritated to articulate my feelings on this, but it really makes me want to jump on a soapbox. 6y
dawn-pInk @KristinaRay I find myself ranting at the author frequently while listening. 6y

I liked this book at first. But as the book went on, I couldn't imagine choosing drugs over my own child, being a mother myself. But I know that it happens, and it let and insight to what is going on inside of the mind of someone who does choose drugs over their own child. Devastating book, but very raw.

I ❤️️ Ellen Hopkins for those times when I'm going to be repeatedly pulled from my book. Doctors appointments all morning + a rainy day here. #litsyAtoZ

l_veislouder Just got into her books a couple of years ago and I fell in love with both Crank & Glass. 7y

I don't really like using the 3M app on my kindle for ebooks because it can be hard going to the next page, but I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series (Crank) and I didn't really want to wait until I could get a hard copy at the library. So I'm sucking it up and having quite the exciting Saturday night with my #kittenlitten

This book...is so wonderful...I barely have words for it...such a beautifully haunting story based on the authors own daughter. This is the sequel to Crank which is my second favorite Ellen Hopkins book and probably in my top 10 favorite books ever written...and this one lives up to its predecessor. Please, please read these books. The Crank series will change the way you see the world. Such a wonderful book. 9/10

Second book in the Crank trilogy, following Kristinas descent into Glass. Like all Hopkins books: both beautiful and haunting.
