The Pembrokeshire Coast Path
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path | Dennis Kelsall, Jan Kelsall
1 post
This guidebook - which includes both a guide to the route and a separate mapping booklet - describes the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail, a scenic 180-mile long-distance walk from Amroth, near Tenby, to St Dogmaels, north of Newport. The route, which takes roughly two weeks to complete, is divided into 14 stages of between 9 and 17 miles. Neither technically demanding nor difficult to navigate, the trail is suitable both for experienced distance walkers and those looking to cut their teeth on a long-distance route. Detailed route instructions are accompanied by 1:100,000 OS mapping. A route summary table and comprehensive trek planner are also included, with invaluable information on transport, accommodation and facilities en route. The guidebook is packed with interesting snippets of information about the places, landscapes and wildlife encountered along the way. Also included is a 1:25,000 OS map booklet which shows the full route, providing all the mapping needed to complete the trail. Showcasing the spectacular coastal scenery of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this National Trail takes in soaring rugged cliffs, serene inlets, broad sandy beaches and quaint coastal villages as it follows the twists and turns of this magical coastal path.

Today we take in the beautiful beaches at Lydstep and Lydstep Haven. 😍

How was the start of the week for you?

#DailCheckIn

TheBookHippie Just drop me there and pick me up in a few months ... any of the beaches is fine. Laundry and dishes and cooking here. 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie I know! 😍 Could do with that now. Now fourth months working every day and very tired. Day in school today which is so surreal. (edited) 4y

CocoReads Oh the beach! I‘m in ❤️! I‘ve basically done almost nothing compared to the list I had for today. But I did finish a book and took a nap! Back to the grind tomorrow. 🤣🤣 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Sounds the perfect day to me, forget that nasty to do list. Sending positive thoughts for tomorrow. 🥰 4y
CocoReads @Andrew65 thanks. I‘m actually a pro at ignoring the to do list and trying to be better at listening to my body when it says to rest. So in those terms, today has been a great success! 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Me too! Rather like they say in the army rest when you can. 4y
TheBookHippie @CocoReads that is accomplishing something! 4y
kezzlou85 An okay start. Managed to start the car so I could get it the garage. Just hoping they sort it out. Rest was homeschooling 4y
DieAReader @Andrew65 Please make sure to take care of yourself! Virtual-hugs🙏to everyone❤Today has so far been uneventful, thankfully. I'm on emotional overload...So I've been trying to organise myself for June (challenges, buddy reads etc...) If I can't control anything else around me, I will focus my energies on things I can control. My📚🎶 have saved me/my sanity my entire life and now is no different. One second @ a time seems to work😉 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Hope they sort the problem for you. 4y
Andrew65 @Squidget Just what the doctor ordered, control the things that you can control and try not to worry or stress about things you can‘t affect or change. Take care and sending virtual hugs back too. 🥰 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 I hope so too. Im not going far obviously but it puts me on edge not having my car. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Like losing an arm. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 I lost about 36 hours in bed on migraine meds, but better now. Are you saying that you all are back in school? Even students? Anyway, take good care of yourself, please, Andrew! ♥️ 4y
TrishB All I did was swear at my laptop today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. ♥️ 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB 😂 I‘ve had a few of those days recently. Sending best wishes and positive thoughts. 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @gradcat Far from it, not even 10% of students in . Year 6 in today but only 9/48 arrived, next week we add Year 1, and reception the following week. 4y
gradcat @Andrew65 Okay, I get it now. By the way, thanks for sending the virtual hugs...I‘m sending some right back to you. 🤗🥰♥️ 4y
TrishB You too Andrew. You must be counting down the days for a break! 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB Oh yes, please no national announcements that affect that. A few weeks ago I saw a survey that said 25% of Headteachers thinking of leaving their post. Yet again last week pronouncements on Friday evening for education. Whatever happened to work-life balance! 4y
Velvetfur Love those gorgeous beach pics! That's a shockingly high number of head teachers thinking of quitting, really sad to hear that 🙁 I've been at my parents' again today, I've been scrubbing clean the small bit of wall above the picture rail in the living room, in prep for them to repaint it. Having a day off tomorrow though 🙂 I had loads of kittycat cuddles today too so I'm really happy! 🐈 💜 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur It is, the pressures have been off the scale. Also pressures to achieve outcomes in the future will be beyond believable! Sounds like you had a productive day physically and emotionally. 😊 4y
tracey38 Today was ok at work. I'm just hoping for something else to come along soon. @Andrew65 I am sorry for all the stress you are, and have been, going through. Take care of yourself! And I would love to be on one of those beaches, too! 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Pleased to hear things were okay, things must feel intolerable at the moment. Keeping my fingers crossed fir you that something comes up for you. This will pass, hang in there. 🤞🥰 Thanks, trying the best I can, at least feels some potential light at the end of the tunnel after 4 long months. 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 thats exactly it. 4y
IamIamIam Gorgeous!!! I'm in love!!! Today was okay but my ulcer has started kicking up after months of worrying about everyone and putting myself last. 😖 Gotta bounce back and relax a little!!! Today was my nephew's moving up ceremony so we spent some time with them. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Those beaches look beautiful. I could do with a few hours on the beach (under an umbrella, please). Today was a fairly standard Monday for me: calls & reports. I got a little reading and some grocery shopping done, so not a total bust. 4y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Yes all these stresses and anxieties not helping digestive issues. Take care and try to relax. Sending positive thoughts. 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sounds a positive day. 4y
