Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark | Campbell Black
9 posts | 2 read | 3 to read
Indiana Jones, archeology professor and swashbuckling adventurer, has unearthed many an ancient treasure. But now the very future of the world depends on his finding one special relic. With a bullwhip in his hand and a beautiful lady at his side, Jones journeys from Nepal and Cairo to the Mediterranean, dodging poisons, traps and snakes, battling rivals old and new, all in pursuit of an ancient artifact said to give invincible power to its possessor. It's a battle to a startling finish, a finish dictated by the magic, the light -- and the power -- of the Lost Ark.

I wasn't going to participate originally, because I didn't want to rack my brain for 80's pop songs, but I thought of a category I could narrow down enough, soundtrack scores 😁

🎷 Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone from The Mission
🐍 Theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark by John Williams
🦇 Theme from Batman (1989) by Danny Elfman

TheBookHippie John Williams is fantastic! 2d
CatLass007 I‘m not familiar with The Mission. Was it based on a book? I think you‘ve done an excellent job of narrowing down your category. I‘m fairly certain that if I started thinking of music from the 70s or 80s or any other decade, I‘d have those songs running through my head for the rest of the year. John Williams‘ Raiders of the Lost Ark theme is very memorable. But I remember very vividly sitting in the theater watching the maze that became (cont)⬇️ 2d
CatLass007 the Batman symbol and almost physically being pulled in by the music. Not long ago I was having a conversation with my brother about that scene and I said something about Seal singing Kiss from a Rose for the movie and he had no idea who or what I was talking about. Everyone thought Michael Keaton was going to be a terrible Batman, but he was fabulous! 2d

More like Raiders of the Lost Book. My son was looking for a book and instead of asking for help this happened. And my daughter had just made his bookshelf nice and neat the day before.🤨 #RaidersOfTheLostArk #March80sMovies

#photoadaynov16 Wanted to bag some books from my teenage daughter's pretty awesome Egyptology collection for my #bookpyramid but even with Indy by my side I did not feel certain we could escape with our lives from this Temple of Doom. 😂 Btw, this illustrated edition of Lawrence Kasdan's screenplay that I've treasured since Grade 9, was not in the database. @RealLifeReading

A couple of nights ago, in honor of the 35th anniversary of Raiders, we watched the movie but this time made sure to find one of the Star Wars easter eggs. Watching Temple of Doom tonight. Really getting in the way of my reading time, but worth it!

Well-ReadNeck This is awesome!!! 8y
Zypdoda It really is! I was so excited that I managed to pause the movie at just the right spot to get a picture. lol I've got the egg from Temple of Doom. I'll probably post it later. @Well-ReadNeck 8y
