I'm taking my mom to the doctor in the morning and it's supposed to be a long appointment - up to three hours long! 😱 So I'm bringing this book with me to start reading tomorrow. I enjoyed the Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by the same author, so I'm looking forward to this. Also, I absolutely love this book cover! #screamathon2020 #votedearlyreadathon

Libby1 I hope your Mom is well. 💜 3y
booksandsympathy @Libby1 thank you! She's having memory issues, so she's seeing a neuropsychologist. 3y

DNF.
Read 100 and some pages and just didn‘t want to read anymore. Just couldn‘t keep my interest. It was admittedly a bit of a cover buy.

Finished this book in a #favoritereadingspot in my house. Overall, it was interesting and the characters were pretty likable. I honestly was a bit lost at the end as to what‘d happened in the incident in the past. Unique take on a ghost story but didn‘t wow me.

1. Only 150 pages in so not sure what to make of it yet
2. Sleeping, reading/writing, and organizing my apartment by going through closets and decluttering
3. Vanilla or mint chocolate chip
4. I want to! Tried to learn guitar in high school but the chord changes seemed impossible with my small hands 😂 Always wanted to learn that or piano

And finally, I was trying to find a different book for the prompt “spooky read” because this one ended up not really being all that spooky, but I‘ve run out of time!! It was pretty good YA but it wasn‘t spooky at ALL and I think that negatively affected my reception of it. #booked2018. I have one more book to go, so I‘m not sure I‘ll finish, but I‘m working on it!!

alisiakae You can do it! 5y

@IheartYA I got your package! Yay! And I'm overwhelmed by your generosity! The coloring book is adorable, and both books sound interesting! I look forward to reading them. Thank you so much for everything! You're so kind!

IheartYA Glad you like everything. My daughter picked out some of the candy, and she couldn't resist the bunny. 😊❤ 6y

I am an avid reader of Katherine Howe, I was first hooked by the physik book of deliverance Dane, and I have made it a point to read her books ever since! Annie van sinderen in no exception. The story is compelling, being told in dual perspective really adds an interesting view to the story. An honest page turner that makes you want to keep reading. An absolute pick if you have a flair for the supernatural.

Yesterday the kids requested to go to the dollar store. Which is only bearable if I peek at the book section while I‘m there. 😂😂

The #relief you feel that you successfully made it to your library's book sale bag day and get all of pictures books as well as about 10 middle grade novels and 10 children's books for.... $2!! This made it impossible for me to buy anything at Barnes and Nobles yesterday because I kept seeing books I just purchased for next to nothing. #SweetEmotions

Reviewsbylola Holy 😱😱😱 7y
Smangela @Reviewsbylola I swear they have the best books at their Friends of the Library sales. It's unreal 7y
Cinfhen WHAT?!?! $2.00 😲😲😲my library sale is NEVER that good EVER! They charge 25 cents just to request a book!!! 7y

I think I'll try Howe's non-fiction. That seems to be her true skill. This just could not hold my interest. Into the Return-To-Library Bag it goes. #24in48 #readathon #DNF

My next #24in48 pick. I'm a little hesitant after my lukewarm feelings toward Conversion. But I'm hopeful that some of Howe's writing flaws improved in this one. If not, I may bail on it.

I have now finished all of Howe's current works, ending with this selection. After spending so much time in Massachusetts, it was wonderful to have a change of both location and time in New York. The story was carefully written and extremely enjoyable.
