First, there‘s nothing Christmas-y about this book other than a wedding taking place on Christmas Day. Big disappointment! Second, it‘s billed as a romance, but it‘s not all that romance-y. Also a disappointment! Gaby, a middle-aged widow, announces to her 4 grown children that she‘s getting remarried on Christmas. The hitch is that she‘s keeping the groom‘s identity a secret until the big day. This could have been so much better than it was!

This was a quick holiday read. It was just ok to me though. I found no connection to the characters and couldn‘t get past how self centered the main character was. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clocking in at just over 24 hours, completed my last book of 2019! Won‘t have a chance to read any more later because I‘m going out. Novella about a fun widow in her 50s who decides to remarry after getting not one, but three proposals from close friends. In order to ensure all her kids come home and for her own fun, she keeps the man she's choosing a mystery. The characters are fun. The family dynamics are a joy but also very real. First off, I mostly read this because it fit prompts for the #wintergames that I needed. It's not a book I typically would have read.

There's nothing new or exciting with this one. It's just your typical feel-good holiday read.

This book... was trash. Sorry if any of you liked it 😕 I know Patterson is huuuuge but every time I try to read one, I really dislike it. I figured I'd give this one a shot since it was audio and a Christmas Story but it was all over the place and not well written at all. I'm starting to see why he spits books out like a rabbit produces young... Definitely seems to be a case of quantity over quality. Generous 2🌟 #UnpopularOpinion #IGiveUp
