Read the second in the series (The Secret) before this one - both are equally gripping but the second one was a little more subtle. With The Teacher, you move from one gruesome murder to the next at a pace that leaves little time to really flesh out the characters. What's great with Diamond though is even though you do connect the dots quite early on, she somehow keeps you hooked to the very end. Looking forward to reading the rest in the series.
“I‘m so hot for her, I‘m so hot for her,
I‘m so hot for her and she‘s so cold”.
Definitely DS Adrian Miles‘ “hot and cold” relationship with his ex-wife (hot on his side, frosty cold on hers) 👮🏻♂️💔🙅🏼♀️

Really enjoyed this book. A little dark and twisted, but nothing too unsettling - just enough to keep the reader feeling a little uncomfortable and eager to see what‘s on the next page. Definitely a pick for me, and can‘t wait to get started on the next book in this series soon 😊

Trigger warnings for graphic violence and rape.
Expected to be gripped by this one but found attention wandering at times, plus I didn‘t care much for either DS Grey or DS Miles. There was enough potential though for me to read the second to see if it is an improvement on the first book. Rating: 3 ⭐️
I found this to be a very confusing story. The title is misleading as only the first chapter is about the teacher but then switches from present to past and is not done very smoothly. There are too many characters and too many viewpoints and the story does not flow well. The book seems to need more editing. I don't think I'll be continuing with this series. #theteacher
🍎 My favorite teacher was my 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Bogdanoff because she managed to make all of us feel special and still remembered us by name years later
🍏 Mrs. Jewls, Sideways Stories
🍎 I‘m going to cheat and go with the memorable basal containing MANY stories entitled Birds Fly, Bears Don‘t
🍏 I‘m stumped
🍎 We got a gluten filled breakfast I couldn‘t eat and generic goodie bags, but at least it was something! #weekendchat
This is the 1st book of the series which I got from the library.
One word, gruesome!! But I loved it. I love a bit of gore and this didn‘t disappoint, it‘s definitely not for the faint hearted. From the first chapter your pulled in and it has you around the neck. Pleased this is part of a series as I‘ll definitely read the rest. Can‘t believe this is a debut, high five to the author!
Just finished this thriller was a good read & concept was a bit twisted & gory. Not everyone's cup of tea but if your into cop thrillers that take place in london it's worth checking out.
About to start reading this thriller I feel the need to grab a snack first 🍎😉
#occupationinthetitle #reallifereading this one was fun but I was surprised to only have one book with occupation in the title. #FALLINTOBOOKS
This book was edgy and full of triggers, but I liked it and am interested in reading the next in the series, The Secret.
Very gory though the story could have been so much better. I ended up a bit confused about Abbey's I put in the whole story.
