This one really falls in between a pick and a so-so for me. I liked the plot but the execution was not the best. It needed a bit more character development and better descriptive prose. I did like the setting and the main character but everything seemed to just fell into the characters lap. I was dreading this one but the second book wasn‘t that bad. Compared to the first, this one had more of the mystery that I look for in a cozy. There‘s a shift in the author‘s writing as the story is more focused on the mystery at hand. I‘m actually looking forward to the next one in the series.
