This book is hilarious. I remember exactly what the author talks about in the intro: waiting for what seemed like HOURS for my mom to pick out patterns and fabric at the craft stores. Then when I got a bit older, I used some patterns and sewed some clothes myself. So these riffs on the pattern illustrations really struck a funny chord for me.

This book is FANTASTIC. I almost peed myself laughing. I borrowed it from the library, but I think I need to own this.

Look what just came in the mail!! Litsy made me buy it....for myself.....for Christmas 😬 Im excited for this one! I remember these patrerns from my Mom buying them and my Grandma sewing them!

This was a very quick read from my Christmas present stack. I chuckled most of the way through it & wondered why I didn‘t come up with this idea myself—we used to spend hours at the fabric store when I was little. I guess I was more focused on fancy, impractical dresses instead of the drawings. (Pardon the weird shadows and bright blue chair. It‘s swim practice time for my older kid, and it‘s too cold & snowy to sit in the car while I wait.)

This book is hilarious. I‘m dying. 😂🤣😂

Laughed until I had tears. Classic sewing pattern covers with captions. There are some questionable captions and some R rated ones, but over all hilarious. I‘m sure my grandmother had, possibly still has, some of these patterns. Target has this book for $9.80 at the moment by the way.
