#septemberdanes #goodtogether “Hard times require furious dancing ..,” they go together... they are #goodtogether I can relate to this .. have been at a yoga weekend & we danced with this intention ..... dancing is a gift .. our teacher quoted Alice Walker .. I know dancing helps ... it‘s a great release , love this quote 💜💜💜 Hard times require furious dancing
pickI'm going through some of the hardest times I have had, and many of these poems were exactly what I needed. I didn't love every poem, and normally don't prefer single word limes, but the ones I connected with shook me to my core. This was just what I needed right now. My favourite was I Will Not Deny. Illustrations were fantastic too.
panThis ‘poetry‘ is nothing but the most unbearably schlocky new age greeting card sentimentality – so utterly awful it makes Rupi Kaur seem profound! I haven‘t read any of Alice Walker‘s fiction; I hear it‘s great, or at least some of it is. She should stick to that genre.
Yup, that's about as profound and poetic as this collection gets. (facepalm)
Found this ebook of poetry on Scribd - 181 pages but the first poem puts one word on each line - bodes well for my actually getting all the way thru!
