I wonder if Aisha Tyler and Chelsea Handler have every had happy hour together? Really fun listen, Aisha‘s tales of drunken debauchery are rivaled only by Chelsea‘s in both absurdity and hilarity, but I liked the stories from Aisha‘s youth even better. I saw her do stand up before, I have been a fan a long time so I definitely appreciated this.

Have had this on my kindle forever so giving it a go. Enjoyed Aisha Tyler‘s work over the years. Reviews on here aren‘t amazing but I‘ve learned most memoirs from the entertainment industry aren‘t meant to astound.

I think Tyler is hilarious! Not necessarily of #Hollywood fame, Tyler is a comedienne of the small screen and stand up comedy. I was slated to read this for a challenge last year but did not get around to it - maybe soon?? #Movember

This was funnier than I expected. I loved the first half - especially her childhood stories, which were hilarious. The second part was still good, just not as goofy (because adults just aren‘t I guess 😀) #audiobook

Smart, funny, enjoyable.

First finished book of the @24in48 #readathon. I am a fan of Aisha Tyler, but was not a huge fan of this book. It was ok, not great. It just felt like she was trying too hard most of the time. I liked that she read the audiobook herself and some of it was entertaining. I definitely know more about her now and will appreciate that next time I see her acting in "Criminal Minds".

Current #audiobook. So far, pretty good. I'm about seven chapters in and it's getting better as I get further into the book.

Anyone have suggestions for non-fiction audio that's not a humorous celebrity's memoir? This was the genre I used as an introduction to audio books last year and while I've enjoyed most of them, I'm ready for something different. I still give this one a thumbs up if you're looking for the funny-life-stories-with-a-dash-of-inspiration setup, though.

Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this one, especially on audio. It had me laugh-snorting to myself on a long morning commute.

This book was just so damn funny. I'm glad I listened to the audio of this because Aisha Tyler's performance made it extra funny 😀

Listened to audiobook. Stories were fine, but banal. Dropped this one to find a more engaging read.

I really wanted to like this one, but I guess I don't have enough of a taste for schadenfreude. There were some genuinely funny moments and a few great sections about working hard to fulfill your dreams, but if you don't enjoy laughing at someone else's expense, maybe pass on this one.

This book isn't all great, but there are some gems for sure.
