#JazzyJune This is a sad story of a #LoveLost when a young wife and mom dies of cancer. It's based on a true story, from the tape-recorded diary of the young woman. I read this as a teenager, and the story has stayed with me all these years.

After so much gloominess it‘s wonderful to see the sunshine. Unfortunately it is still cold so I cannot bask long.
My morning wake up view is very different today!!
It‘s probably still grey at home. Don‘t worry I have no doubt I‘ll be moaning about the heat later 😁
Stock photo from the Huntington Library Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. As you can see, poinsettias can grow to be shrubs...even trees. Also, while I don‘t know when this photo was taken, one can see the sun in December most days in Southern California!

Day2 #MayBookFlowers #sunshine🌞I immediately thought of Sunshine by Norma Klein-a book that ripped my heart out when I read my sister's copy (it looked just like the one pictured) as an adolescent. Then it became a TV movie, a series & had follow-up movie specials. Ah, the 70s...🙂I added some books with sun in the title from my *read* stack--or in the case of the two on the bottom right, my TBR stack. Big 💛 to Molly Katzen's Sunlight Cafe.
