I loved this series and was so sad that it got canceled. Witch Carly has plans to hide out from ghosts seeking help on Halloween due to a bad past experience... but then a murder occurs and her future mother in law and current enemy is arrested. I loved that Carly teamed up with her cousin, and all the ghosts that show up. Also, Halloween!

Trying to play catch-up from Friday!
I spent Friday thru Sunday at an airbnb with a few of my book club friends (the original plan was for all of us, but Covid). It was wonderful, and I watched many hours of hour this weekend, and finished some books, but wasn't able to post.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another fun cozy. This was book three in this witchy series featuring Carly Bell, a white witch. In this installment it‘s Halloween, the one time of the year when ghosts roam freely and Carly must help them cross over before the portal closes on November second, All Souls‘ Day.

Loved this one! Probably my favorite cosy mystery I‘ve ever read. The characters were great, the culprit I didn‘t quite guess until the end, the world (with the addition of ghosts) was entertaining. Quick to read and hard to put down. #teamslaughter #scarathlon2020 #bookspinbingo This was my #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick

Yesterday was less terrible! LOL, I kid, but work has been super stressful, and yesterday was slightly less so. And I woke up early, finished Mexican Gothic and got extra reading done. Also got some spooky tv watching in! 201pts

Chilling in my #Lularoe and my #BlueQ socks before I start this #cozymystery. Love this series but I'm bummed that it was struck down by the publishers.

Bailedbailed

Okay I tried this as an audiobook and I had to bail. The reader has this fake southern accent that is nauseating to listen to. If it is a real southern accent, then where did she live. I think I may have enjoyed this book if I had tried reading it first, but It was not good as an audiobook.

Karkar I find the narrator can make or break the audiobook. 🎧 7y
alanacristin Now I'm intrigued to here this accent! Fake Southern accents on tv and in movies drive me mad. I'm looking at you, Maggie 💀🔨😕 7y
moranadatter I read it as a print book and enjoyed it. The audiobook sounds awful though. 7y

I just love cozy mysteries and this one was so fun! It's about a potion shop owner who can also see ghosts right around the Day of the Dead. Despite her best efforts, Carly ends up with three ghosts needing her guidance to cross over.

moranadatter I love Heather Blake's books. Have you read her other series? 7y
